Warning From Magnus? Not Listening!

Hi everyone,
I have a question about painting Armorcast models, specifically the Warhounf Titan. While painting it, I've noticed that the paint chips and scrapes off pretty easily.
Is there anything I could be applying after the paint job to secure the paint? I'm relatively inexperienced with painting in general, so any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Have you washed the model in warm soapy water before painting it?

as stated above, it's important to wash the resin products you have to get off the mold release agents. from what others have posted in the past, if you don't the pain will fleck off or even occasionally bubble like rust on a car if the surface isn't prepared properly. also, did you prime the model or just put the paint straight on the resin? i didn't used to think priming made much of a difference until i tried stripping some old metal models. the ones i remembered priming had the paint come off after soaking and then brushing with an old toothbrush and some effort; the models who didn't get primered had the paint slide off like a snake shedding its skin when i rubbed my fingers over it after soaking in brake fluid.

I didn't wash the model, actually... And I didn't realize that the Armorcast models were resin either. However, I did prime the model before painting. The primer stayed on most of the model from what I could tell, but the primer was white and the pieces to the model were off-white, so it was difficult to tell if the primer stayed. I didn't notice any of the bubbling effects that you mentioned though, and I still don't now. Would that be a good sign?
At any rate, I'm mostly finished painting the pieces now (95% complete). Would you have any suggestions for me at this point? Would a sealant do anythng special to help?

if you're 95% done, sealant is pretty much the only choice outside of stripping it and starting again. i've personally only worked on resin a few times but i did wash them and noticed in the plastic container that there was a film on the top of the water when i was done. as for the bubbling i mentioned, it's the first stage of the paint coming off (just like with rust) so it definitely isn't a good sign. if you see that, it means that paint will come off sooner or later.

Thanks a lot for the advice!
Is there a sealant you recommend?
