Hi all,
i was looking to start a third 40k army (now i've nearly finished my ork and eldar armies), and i wanted to create a Tau Gue'vesa army, i was thinking in the style of an Anime called "Code Geass", with a sort of cross of the basic "Black Knight" Troops (from Code Geass), and the Knights of the round (also from cg), and the idea of an emporer of the Guevesa. They all use mecha called "Knightmares", but a humans, so i wanted to make a Tau-Human cross breed, that's why i came acrross gue'vesa. Does anyone think this is a good idea, and if so does anyone have any good ideas, or example pictures of Tau Gue'vesa, and customised battlesuits? Also would i be allowed to use this custom humanoid-tau army in proper tournements?

i also wondered about creating flight packs from my battlesuits, thus giving them the ability to hover, what do you think?

Model the human's suits to have larger torsos since humans are larger than tau. I'd also give them heavier plating or do something to give them a more aggressive look, like more battle damage; humans are much more offensive and head-strong than tau.

Hope it works out, I'd love to see it.

That idea is fairly simple to create. I've seen the anime so I'll lend what help I can

Simply get tau fire warrior arms and cadian bodies, legs and heads. Boom, infantry. You can also just get the shoulder pads and the individual guns and just apply them to the guard models.

An image of a conversion:

For the suits, conversions will be necessary though using the forge world models might help with that, or at least hunting for bits.

Here is a farsight suit I found that somewhat matches:

Trying to make a code geass themed tau force is a very plausible idea. Just realize having some experience doing conversion work would be handy.

Thanks, those pictures are extremely useful, as i can use them as a reference for when i make my army. I'll upload images of them when i've finished.
