The Leviathan Mortis has been tentatively scheduled for release on December 15th.
http://dreamforge-games.blogspot.com/

Leviathan VR5 Mortis (Totenköpfe - Deaths Head)

Grandfather of all Leviathans; the VR5 design is over 200 years old and has seen many improvements and variants. It and its variations are widely considered some of the finest designs ever produced. A balance of size, speed, armor and armament all come together to make a very formidable vehicle.

The decision to design the cockpit after the Totenköpfe was primarily nostalgic and a matter of national pride. The frame of the first Leviathan was designated VR5 in honor of the 5th Regiment commanded by Colonel von Ruesch, the first Hussar commander to use the deaths head symbol. The Prussian army Hussar first adopted this symbol in 1744.

The Mortis in its purest form is outfitted with two close combat weapons, and no additional armor, this allows for the fastest possible movement and a vicious close combat capability. The massive oil stacks provide the option of overcharging the reactor for enhanced speed or combat. Two KwK 200 20cm auto cannons mounted in the torso ensure its survivability in a ranged engagement.

That's the one flaw with these guys. They are fantastic designs, some of the best virtual sculpting I seen and they rival the quality of some professional 3D modelers out there. These are excellent works in every way. BUT looking at these pictures I have almost no sense of scale. They could be 6 feet tall, they could be 60. The only thing I have to go on are the rivets, but I don't know what size those are supposed to be either so it doesn't help much. They just don't feel big to me. It's the one flaw I see in these otherwise great models.

Im still not a fan of the cockpit style, and dont like the scythe, it is still a great piece of work. The claw arm is sweet though.

Those pics just confirm that the rest of the series will be absolutely awesome, and Ill be all over the Crusader as soon as it comes out. Most likely a Gabriel too.

Keep up the awesome work.

Funny, just goes to show different tastes... I was just thinking how downright savage that scythe looks, and that the pose and sculpted "arm linkage" shows a real sense of weight and purpose...

I agree with Mad4Minis - I like the Crusader and Gabriel cockpits better than the Super Sentai Eversor look.

NoseGoblin... might that be a forthcoming terrain kit I see? It reminds me of the superstructure on your old leviathan kits.

any news on when the other variants will be released?

it does look awesome but defo feeling the other helms/cockpits.

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

I hope to have all of the three remaining variants printed at the same time and released within a week of one another. This will involve benching them, making molds, instructions and box art. Thats a bit of work... it will need to be done while I am casting the current line. Estimating an exact date is difficult.

The first release (likely on Ebay) will be a Limited Edition, it will include the Crusader's Stechhelm, the Vulkan Cannon and a signed and numbered certificate.

I like the model, and I think it's definitely a good price for it.
Any chance there will ever be a Vulcan option for the LEFT hand, though? While I think the scythe is okay, I prefer the clawed hand.
Would be nice to field one with a claw & Vulcan.

Indeed. I have the left hand version of the claw and the Vulkan here and ready for molds. I just need the rubber and some time to make the molds.
