ok so this is the spirit of motherwill from acfa
http://media.moddb.com/cache/images/groups/1/1/381/thumb_620x2000/ACfA_White_Glint_vs_SoMw_by_Michael_7771.jpg (the armored core is as tall as a skyscraper btw )

http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs43/f/2009/155/2/7/Spirit_Of_Mother_Will_by_Enigmatic_Zephyr.jpg
im going to re design it and add it to my daemon hunters army, my plan is to have it equivalent to a warlord titan,
the story behind it will be that it is the daemon hunters ultimate weapon, but to keep it with the thing that the daemonhunters are so secretive that no one knows about them, i will modify it so it is itself a star ship and it is secretive because nothing has lived to tell the tale, whether it be enemy's or allies, all will be destroyed.
ok so im still coming up with the rules but my idea for it will be that it is literally impossible to kill it long range, for its Armour is impenetrable. however in close range, undefended a single assault squad can take it down. this will be because to kill it you have to destroy 10 air ducts around it, this can pretty much only be done by getting some squads on top of it and getting them to take them down.
its long range capability cant be matched though, with 6 cannons that can tear armys apart
so what do you guys think of this?

Animie + 40k = fail.
Just my .02. Its quite a cool model if you are into the crazy japanese thing. I don't see it fitting with a deamon hunter army in the least.

Now, I'm a huge Armored Core fan. I loved For Answer.
But...
No. Just... no.
Building a model of the Spirit of Motherwill? Awesome.
But using it for 40k? Just... no...

The idea doesn't fit thematically with anything in the 40k universe. In the terms of "ultimate weapon", the Imperium commits Exterminatus on a regular basis with something much smaller and more tactically sound than a giant city in space that shoots pew pew lazurz.
Methinks you've just been watching anime and you are all excited about it.

tis not an anime its suspost to be a space ship, for transporting troops from planet to plannet, but if the troops from the ground need help, it can desend from orbit and crush the enemys and who doesnt want pew pew lazers!!!

40k has a particular style about it and I think most people will be a little confused by this.
Do a little research and cross your "ship" with the 40k version. Think "if 40k space ship had a baby with that anime thing". Then you may have something.
Personally I looked at that space ship thing and it looks a little silly to me. My 2 cents.

Why build a giant silly ship that lands on the planet and pew pew lazurz when you could just use virus torpedo's from orbit to destroy every iota of life in a VERY short period of time. The firestorms from ignited decom gases pretty well scours the planet after that.
Remember kids, Space Marines are a tactical asset. Its quite easy for them to utterly destroy an opponent, hell the Imperial Navy can do that with no problem! SM are there to free specific tactical targets, neutralize entrenched enemies, etc.
Didn't want to come off as a hater, there is a logical basis for my standpoint that comes from a decent understanding of 40k tactics mentioned in fluff.

@agro - Its all very well virus bombing the planet, but what if you want to use it afterwards? A giant death ship of death might just tip the balance and allow a very fast alpha strike on a particular target. However I don't think landing would provide any beneftit over lancing the pants off the enemy from space.

Exterminatus is a complete "last resort" tactic. Refer to my comments about the use of SM chapters as surgical implements. IG would generally come in and secure the area as well as build needed infrastructure. Marines are only for crushing the enemy or destroying specific installations. Exterminatus is used to destroy corrupted planets (be that by chaos or by xenos infestation).
The Eisenhorn and Ciaphas Caine books give a nice sense of the overall tactical style of the Imperium of Man.
Large ships with devastating firepower aren't really "weapons" so much as they are "symbols" and extensions of sovereignty. Refer to the upcoming Nimitz class carriers.....the point of large platforms is to extend your influence and allow deployment of tactical assets in a timely manner. The proposed ship would be less maneuverable than anything in the Imperial Navy or SM fleets, not to mention a gigantic target. It doesn't provide superior tactical or strategic firepower, and while it could probably carry a lot of fighters and drop pods I seriously doubt its a more sound idea than a crusade fleet. Space Marines are the finest weapon of terror in the 40k universe. They spit acid, digest anything, and have NO interests outside of war and wargear rites.
The idea might work nicely for a space hulk.....similar to the Brokenback in the Soul Drinkers Ominibus.

Titans are siege breakers and aren't a part of either the Imperial Navy or the SM fleets. They are there to blow up fortifications and provide a support role to the infantry that actually complete's a military objective. You don't send a battleship to retrieve a hostage.
Please understand that my stance has nothing to do with tabletop rules and everything to do with my take on the application of forces and tactics per what I've read in 40k fluff.

Don't worry i completely agree with you it needs a decent backstory and it has to have a purpose, do you have any ideas? I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a moving fortification desined to hold positions! C:

Really, I love the Motherwill (it's a truly epic boss fight, especially on hard mode), but if you want to build the Motherwill, build the fething Motherwill, and don't try to adapt it to 40k.
