Hi there,

It's that time of the year again here at Maelstrom Games (www.maelstromgames.co.uk) - the run up to Christmas has been pretty mad so far already, but we thought we'd better get a voucher run going now to ensure those of you that live outside the sunny shores of the United Kingdom can save some money when buying your Christmas presents and still get them on time! To that end we're giving you a whopping 16% off the UK recommended retail price from today for ten days!

YOUR CHRISTMAS VOUCHER
----------------------------------------------------------
Your 16% off UK RRP discount voucher ends on Monday the 29th of November 2010 at midnight (GMT)! It's a great chance to grab yourself all those lovely new ranges we've brought in over the past year since our expansion as well as all your old favourites! It will work on all the items within our webstore, but:

It's a great chance to grab yourself all those lovely new ranges we've brought in over the past few months since our expansion as well as all your old favourites! It will work on all the items within our webstore, but:

- not on any Seeds of War items
- not on any Too Fat Lardies items
- not on any Games Workshop Direct items
- not on any event tickets
- and additionally, not on anything within our eBay store.

Apart from the above, the voucher will work on pre-orders and, crucially, you'll still earn Moneyback - although tiered discounts are disabled when using a voucher of course.

In true Slade style, your voucher code is: ITS-CHRISTMAS

To use this voucher simply register on the webstore, www.maelstromgames.co.uk (if you haven't already), copy and paste the code into the appropriate field in your basket when you have selected the items you want, press 'REDEEM', and the webstore will do the rest. You are not limited to one purchase and, indeed, we would ask you to recommend us to your friends with this voucher!

Remember though that this voucher is intended for the webstore only - it does not apply to any of our auctions or shop inventory items on eBay.

Happy Ordering!

-----------------------------------
Sorry for posting a bit late...
In summary:
16% off most stuff and only lasts till Monday the 29th of November 2010 at midnight (GMT)
Have fun Dakkadakka!

Ordered both new 40KRPG books (The Emperor Protects for Deathwatch and Edge of the Abyss for Rogue Trader). Over £20 pounds cheaper than Leisure Games UK.

I'm getting a Stompa for a friend, but other than that I'm supporting the FLGS, I've come to despise the long waits with Maelstrom.

Long wait? Hmmm, not something I've experienced with Maelstrom, to be honest. I always have gotten my stuff within a week or so, and really hang out for these "e-vouchers."

And I waited two months for an Honoured Imperium... and 4 days for a Skyshield Landing Pad. They don't have long waits. They sometimes have delays, but to say that they always have long waits is false.

I have been waiting since May of 2009 for an order or a refund, does that count as a long wait from Maelstrom?

I have taken advantage of this sale as well. I ordered a Chaos Land Raider and some other stuff and managed to get it all within the Australian retail price for a Land Raider. Man I hate the current retail price for GW products (and stuff in general) in Australia…

Ahh, if only I could just pop into my local FLGS and not get robbed *sigh*.

LOL, I always miss these kinds of sales. Bought a Space Marine Battleforce not even 3 weeks ago. Not a huge loss though; only a matter of £3.

It took one week for my order to be processed (it was out of stock) and one week to arrive. 2 weeks is worth it considering the price. With the GBP being so low right now, I saved about 250 SEK (≈ £23 !!!) off the swedish RRP.

I have never really looked at Maelstrom, but 16% seems a bit short of a Big Sale. Plenty of online retailers do 20% regularly. What am I missing here?

That their already that cheapest online retail - by a margin - on orders below $300 iirc?

Jeez, and I thought Ipswich was a rough suburb! I've never been mugged in a FLGS yet!

Where are you living, Redfern or something?!

It includes free P&P world wide and a rebate depending on spend [1% of spend for your next purchases I think?].

They usually run teired discounts on the rabate [upto 4% on big orders?] so I tend to find that these sales are the equivelent to an extra 2-3% off of their usual rates but you get it all up front and not off of the next purchase.

Most of the 20%+ discounters [in the UK at least] tend to add P&P afterwards. i.e. Wayland Games.

And when you're in Australia, P&P is a big deal.

Too true.

And I don't believe in the long wait. My parents have been impressed by the speedy delivery every time.

£131.88 vs 133.14 on wayland w/ couriered for 2 vindicators, 3 drop pods, a techmarine and a razorback....

Granted I get £1.32 back from maelstrom, but for bigger orders I'm just better off sticking with my tried and tested. £2 isn't going to alleviate customer loyalty.

Yeah, we get it, if you live in England it doesn't make much difference. Most people aren't in England though.
