Hello. First of all I am a dyslextic so there will be spelling mistaces. I do not know if this is the right place for this topic but I think so.

I might just be a grumpy middel aged man but it apears to me that dakka often get flodded with spam comment's and posts. I hang out here and on the bolterandchainsword, the tomb king kehmri forum and browse in some others. Dakkadakka har some very good moments of greatness when you find informative sound and well written advices. And dakkadakka have good threads where people suport each other and you get a sence of greater comunaty in the hobby.

But many times you just get posts by people who spend to mutch time thinking up things writing them and posting them on the forum. And a lott of the contents is moastly spam. Perhaps it is because they are more specialiced forums but bolterandchainsword and kehmri just so often englighten me, or give me better feedback, a more posetive attetude then dakka dakka.

I would like to ask what people thoughts are one how to increase the qualaty of dakkadakka?

I think you're just a grumpy middle aged man, personally. I haven't noticed anything like what you're describing.

Probably not. But I'm starting to see his point, when instead of saying "you might consider using a spellchecker, here's how" you just made a smart remark.

For the record OP, you can copy your post into a common text editor like Microsoft Word or OpenOffice and use the built-in spellchecker there. Certain browsers also have built-in spellcheckers, though you will probably need to download a dictionary for it before it will work.

If he was 12 or something, yeah I'd be a bit more amicable. I'd expect a grown-ass man to understand that posting a thread complaining about people not caring enough and then to not spend the same amount of effort proofreading that anyone else does is ridiculous. For a person that knows they are going to misspell words, doubly so.

I think Dakka is great. The painting and modeling, battle reports and a fair amount of the tactics and YMDC forums are great. Though in the latter two you need to do a little filtering to cut through some silliness. If you feel like the site you could use more quality content, OP, you might consider contributing some.

I'm also on team MasterSlowPoke here in regard to spell-check.

Hmm. Good point actually.

This discussion has been done to death recently. To summarise the main points:
1. It is much, much busier here, for example, we get more posts per day than 5 bolter and chainswords put together. There might be junk posted at the same S:N ratio as other sites, but due to the volume it is perceived as worse.
2. There are tools to filter out the junk and more are coming soon (ignore, like button, friends thread filtering, etc).
3. What you think is junk is something someone else finds interesting, nothing can please everyone all the time.

Locking so this does not spiral into a massive multi page monstrosity like the last one.
