1. Chipolte is also a restaurant chain. A pretty good one actually.
2. Your point of the picture of the plane is irrelevant. I fly SW all of the time always got good service. My counter to this point.

3. Any proof on your statement concerning Privateer Press please?
4. Nike sweat shops. Interesting thing you brought up. It was not long ago that GW had many of their products done in China because it was cheap to do so. And secondly how does your comment go into customer service? I'm curious.
5. Progressive. Yup like any big company you are going to get spanked if you think you can get away with it.

Agreed. This is not a isolated situation. I've heard comments from former GW employees, from regional managers and down about their job and customer service over the years.

I purchased several PP products at a LGS. When I got home (an hour away), I found that I was missing the Laddermore figure on foot (She's a Dragoon). I called the LGS, got PP's number---phoned them and got an answer the first time. I explained what happened and the guy bs with me a bit about what I was collecting, how long, etc. He not only sent my missing part out (got it in 4 days), I also got a free light jack for the faction I told him I was starting to collect.

What faction do you play---that makes you feel your army is invalid due to an update?

I played signar. Two books into the games initial start my entire army (sans long gunners) was outmodded. The centurion was a better heavy jack then anything that had come before and it wasn't long before the defender got outmodded as well. Gunmages were essentially useless against non warcaster jack control mechanics and the Gatling gun units ceased to have a purpose with the first additional book release. I know for a fact that WARMACHINE has a power curve with new books, it's been visible since they started printing them. They buffed infantry too much then buffed jacks and casters to re-balance. With the newest edition they're re-balancing everything simultaneously in an attempt to make the early units useful. This has never been a secret.

You've been playing all this time and yet can't figure out it's spelled Cygnar and not Signar?

I seem to recall a shift in the IG paradigm, Tyranids, anything not in a vehicle, Fantasy had a fun shift back to the magic phase...
Having played half the armies from PP since Prime I'll admit I was fairly happy at the rebalance in MKII, but every book wasn't new army time. Wrath isn't new army time.

Well, not to be too snarky here---but I wonder how much you played Cygnar considering you misspelled the faction name. I also play Cygnar (and played Cygnar way back in the day---before a friend moved away)---and I would dispute anything has been rendered worthless by any update. Lower on the hierarchy, yes. Still I suppose this is wandering off topic now...

Ok, I first went to a games workshop store about 10 years ago (when they first arrived in my city) initially it is a good experience, they were friendly, asked about armies, models, painting, terrain, gave tips, and I would occasionally arrange to game there with a friend. This went on for about 2 years, then, I left and went overseas for a while. Came back about 2 years later, having missed a lot and wanted to catch up on developments, so went into the old stores I used to haunt. Well, there appeared to be a change within those 2 years. Over th course of 1 week I went into two stores 4 times, not once did someone come up to ask me about my armies, or how long I'd been playing, when I tried to ask questions about changes and updates, I was ignored or given one word answers. One time I found an employee I used to talk to and have long conversations with, thought I might have a chance at talking to him, ignoring and one word answers continued. I then spoke to some old friends I used to play at the store who said they didn't go there any more, and were angry about poor service. Also, one had a still outstanding mail order from when I had left 2 years previous! (it was jump packs or something)
So, since that time I have not been into a GW store, their are a bunch of other independent stores that are much more fun. I still play, mostly because I like the miniatures. But that's why GW's ban on international shipping angers me, really, I couldn't care less if they close down all of their useless stores, I might even start buying again.

@ Age of Egos

I've been collecting the PP Books. One of the things that I do like is that they play on a 4x4 table as well as their rule system concerning terrain. I'm leaning towards Cygnar because of the Trenchers.

But the Dwarf contingent has also got me interested in that army.

I stopped playing 5 of the games seven years ago because of awful balancing (sorscha!) and ridiculous book creep. Maybe they've fixed it in the interim, but it was noticeable and harsh when the game was young. By what I've heard from friends that still play it that hasn't changed much. The sentinel and Ironclad were not useful jacks. Gunmages were not useful units. If there is a heierarchy then they sat at the bottom and new releases pushed them farther down. When almost every first edition unit is bad that implies power creep.

Shuma it would seem to me the game isn't broken so much as it just doesn't work for you. I played Cygnar until the end of mk1 and always used an Ironclad. It is a great jack for its point cost.

For mk2 I went back to my first love Cryx and my army is 90% made of units from prime. That is one of the best things about Warmachine, so few units are obsolete with each book. Of course not every army/unit works for every player. For example; I could never get Gorshade to work for me. That damn elf hates me.
