I'll probably watch the second episode tomorrow since I just realized I missed the first half of Breaking Bad. For some reason I feel strange from going from "pastel coloured little girls' ponies" to "The dad from Malcolm in the Middle cooking meth and dealing with violent Mexican drug cartels".
To be perfectly honest, the first two episodes are probably the weakest in the entire season. I still like them though. Episode 9, Bridle Gossip is certainly one of my favorites.

Yeah, the first episode was basically backstory, "lol Twilight Sparkle wants to be all srs bzns and study and stop Nightmare Moon but the other ponies want to do whatever it is they do, hey, viewer, now you know the personality of each pony, uh oh here comes the bad guy just like Twlight thought dun dun dun!" but that kind of very belabored introduction is pretty standard for a kid's show, I'd think.

Correct, in fact alot of the "Fan Art" out there is hers.
A bunch of the stuff the fans have been put out there is going into season 2
Derpy Hoves is actuly suposed to be rounded out.
I'm sorely tempted to start playing 40K again and actually do an "evil pony" mono-Tzeentch daemon army.
Think about it; Nightmare Moon as a Lord of Change, regular ponies could be Horrors of Tzeentch, unicorns could be Flamers and Pegasi could be Screamers.
Eh? Eh?! Brilliant, no?
And I can just imagine the srs bzns neckbeard rage when I set this army on the table.
I've never tried to sculpt anything before, though, so this would probably not end well. I would also need a truckload of 28mm scale equines.

Ah, man, I just remembered the good pony deity is Princess Celestia. St. Celestine? PONIES OF BATTLE!? To fight the Ponies of Chaos? Don't know much about Sisters so I don't know what equines could count as what units. Also there's vehicles. Might not work as well.
