Looking good, and as for that bit near the chin, hey, these pieces of armor are 10k years old at least in some cases, so it may have been seriously damaged and then repaired over the years.

That is very true..
However I'm considering the thought of trimming the chin as others have suggested...

Oh I got the base for my next creation made tonight when I was over at my parents for easter dinner! Yay...
Now just to turn some 20 guage wire into 40 and to start building the skeliton of this large scale space marine...

Nope! ^^ But their is now...
Okay. So this is the base that I've made for an anchor point for my Large Scale (reffered to now as LS) Space Marine. It is not much but I wanted to walk through from the begining of the project and it's going to get coated in clay and crap all throught the project so the good base is waiting until it's finished.
The next step is creating the skeliton for this beast which is tricky since he's going to weigh a good 3-4 pounds I think...
(Means hand twisting 20 guage wire into 40 than 80...

I also barrowed an old calliper from my father to ease the clay symitryness....

@ Max - Yea I've missed your valued input and help on this but glad that your back around!
@ Vik - Should I make you a mini hobit being tortured?? And working on that progress for you.
Well almost done 'turning' out the wire for the skeliton.
So that should be together soonish I need to get out and to the store for some square brass (or other metal) tubeing for the removable bits and then I'll be in full swing on this guy!
I'm planning on him just being in a plain standing position. (I know it's not all that exciting) Just so that I can get some practice under my belt. Then I have a special character that I want to make! Mwahahaha...
I shall post some WIP skeliton photos tonight!

However I think that I'll only be able to get the legs and torso section of the skeliton done tonight..
But heading to the artstore tomorrow hopefully so that I can get the few pieces the I need.. Automatically Appended Next Post: I decided that I should toss these up so that everyone could give opinions on them!
The shield is supposed to be a two parter. One half on each arm, each with a half of the aquila on it. Meaning that if needed you could put the two sides together (The emperor protects... Or some such) Offering cover.
I was going to toss them on Jakes thread but didn't want to take it over. So here yea go!

HMMMM.... very cool sketches... and makes me wonder if you should make them come alive by yourself! envisioning such stuff is half the work done to the actual model itself! the sword alone is someting i want to see being made... and the shield...worth for warmachine and such themed universes...!!!
the engine and the feet...all very thought through work there... don´t waste that and make your own walker...there can´t be too many walkers out there!

Planning thought is that it could possibbly be a knight titan!
I think that those just sound awesome.. .. and I am planning to at some point build my own. but in the mean time I want to show Jake because I would love to see what he can do with these thoughts!
I want to see how others can adapt and make these thoughts into their own creations. And to get the thoughts out there to all of you so that I can start to refine the designs before I can get to building them myself.
I want to pace myself because I tent to be the type of person that will go all in. Get fed up. And then drop said thoughts without getting to my potential.
Which is bad.
In my opinion at least ^^

I'm loveing the examples that I can find out there. But I wonder... They would need 40mm bases and so many people I know would get pissed off at me for mounting them on that...
