Well, did the "steel" barrels.

This gives a good idea as to how and where these are going.

Thanks Dave, same thing about that Harrier-Bomma of yours.

Really liking the look of the Kolossus Walkers. They are looking nice repainted. I've got a trio of them to be used as dreadnaughts -a bit small, but not too bad- along side my Spacelords Sardaykin Legionaires.

Congrats! it is a lot to chew your way through to! And thanks for the liking of my babies.

Oh the last run of GW before this new stuff came out, it is simply labeled gunmetal and is about all out. I have Mithril silver left and will have to find new metals like this Dave.

I am using them all as souped up sentinels with a higher base cost due to being able to have 2 main weapons, so 60base as the second hardpoint, then the costs of the weapons as in the codex. Of course if used in other games, they will also be usable as generic walkers/legged tanks.

Oh yeah, they will work nicely with original 25mm scale

The new metal base colors are completely badass! Runefang Steel is the new high-pigment boltgun metal, Warplock Bronze is *Better than* Tin bitz!

More will be done, but this is a nice step for the walkers

I like how the walkers turned out. And something just hit me... I go for a similar camo-pattern like yours on my vehicles. But I use Codex grey and Bestial brown with a thorne-like Black stripe to separate the colors. Very much like your pattern acctually... :/

Anyway, great job with them and the greatcoats!

Thanks DiDDe. Yeah a basic three tone camo I could have gone for a 4th color, but it would have been a bit over much.

Now to piant one more coat of red, do the attachments to their belts, and give ranks to the sgt's

I have no idea what those walking tin cans are, but I love 'em... they are so quirky and I love the paint scheme too! btw are you going to weather them at all?

Muddy feet, some "scrapes" and a dark wash after the decals are on.

I need dip for the troops so they look a bit grimy

Army Painter quick coat, makes troops look weathered, and seals the paint all at once. 30bucks a can

Okay, inspired by Dave and other sources, I am using a base of tin bitz for the "scratches on the Dakka-MiG.

I may add more on other "leading edges" of plates and panels, and I will do some on the cockpit frame. Then the silvery stuff will be added.

Once you add the silver, lightly highlight the paint on ONLY ONE outside paint edge of the scrapes, it will give it a nice 3D effect

hey shaso! now after seeing the walkers... i truly have to say i love seeing them in your hands... wasn´t that easy to part with them but i see you do them a hefty credit!!! they look totally super! and i am now looking fondly forward to see you weathering them...! and muddy!

and well i hope the second layer of a lighter color for the bomma will happen soon... the tinbitz scratches i cant say i am feeling sympathic for... but i will wait some more

and when will those marines get their time for priming? by the way... the greatcoats look stunning with the added details... the red is a very nice detail color for these!

So, I was gonna go mithril in the middle, and then vomit brown to one side for rust effects.

So, about over 100 of the WF GC's, I have over a platoon ov Vostroyans, same with Cadians, some Valhallans mixed in, and now about 100 UAMC troopers. so I am guessing nearly 400 soldiers? Maybe 350? Support weapons, command squads, and all that. plus snipers. then the 16 walkers, and all the superheavies/tanks/APC's, and tractors with artillery and SPG's

Looks great! However for the highlight I meant the red or blue paint that was scratched, add a thin line of lighter red or blue on that paint edge (next to the rust) and watch it pop. Maybe give those scrapes a black or brown wash to tone them down a bit.

I have a red that I watered, and it wound up looking like an "Earl Schieb I'll paint any car for 99.99" look to it, so that will be the worn paint zones around the "chips"
