Hi, does any one know which colours you need for this effect non metalic gold that is.

Well, I use a 50:50 mix of bad moon yellow and snakebite leather, then add white. As to its effedtiveness, well that's up to you to decide. I used it on some of the chainswords and shuri pistols on my scorpions, so you can see the for yourself.

On my ultramarine sargeant, I just used snakebite leather and white.

My preferred method:

Black base coat. colour in with calthan brown,leaving black in gaps.

shade up to Tausept ochre. two or three steps should do.

carry on through Iyanden Darksun. (one step in between is good)

unother step up to bleached bone.

Some selected washes of Leviathan purple, just to darken up some of the receses.

at this point a thin glaze of yellow ink to cheer things up a bit.

Finish with pure white dottage.
