Hopefully in the near future GW will release a Dark Eldar Battleforce. What do you think is going to be in it. It's probably going to be 10 warriors and a raider. but what else will be in it.

I think it's going to be:
15 Warriors
1 Raider
3 Reavers

What do you think?

15 Warriors would not be possible; the Sprue isn't cut in any manner to allow a 5-5 Split.

Likely to be 10 Warriors, 10 Wyches, and either a raider or 3 reavers.

Possibly all 4; the Last BF that came out was the SW, and that was 3 infantry Units and a vehicle.

The rumour I've heard is that GW isn't releasing battleforces anymore. I hope it's not true.

The battleforce better have some reavers!

No. Battleforces provide a significant discount, with 80-90 pounds of models in a 50-55 pound Battleforce. It would need something like 10 Warriors, 10 Wyches, a Raider and 5 Reavers.

The rumour is wrong. We're getting a BA battleforce next February.

If a battleforce comes out and it has reavers its an automatic failure. =p

I'm not a fan of bikes, either: 5 bikes for the price of 10 infantry and a transport just doesn't seem worth it. How about a second Raider and a squad of Hellions, then?

but reavers look awesome! My tactical armies are Space Marines and Tau. Dark Eldar I'll be starting (when a battleforce comes out) just because of their awesome looks. I'll still play them though, but I play just for fun, not really caring about victory. And can't reavers move 36 inches in one turn? that is just made of win.

It might depend on what kits are or are not selling. If the Reavers are selling well, they might swap them out for Helions if they are not selling as well.

Well we pretty much know for a fact that if they do release one it will be 10 Warriors and a Raider. I'm thinking it will be the next plastic set and then some kind of

Most battleforces contain a squad of the basic troops(Tactical Squad, Fire Warriors), and a vehicle to put them in(Rhino, Devilfish). From there they have that unit that's sort of the opposite of the main troops, but still similar(Scouts, Kroot). I'm thinking some kind of demented horror thing, so I'm hoping for plastic wracks. And lastly a unit that's fast moving and usually CC oriented(Assault Squad) so maybe hellions or wyches.

I don't think they'll put reavers in. It's designed to give you a small core of an army, and only having 3 of them, they'll die from bolter fire the first turn they come out from hiding.

Wych, Warriors and a single Raider is a given. They might come with twice the amount of Warriors though, so players would convert them into Trueborn or something. Hellions are more likely than Wracks.

I'm hoping they release 2 versions of the battleforce, Wych + Venom and Hellions in one, and Warriors + Raider and Reavers. Themed battleforces like the Imp Guard is always nice, but its' very unlikely.

I'm thinking no matter what, it will have a Raider, then I'm saying 10 Warriors, 10 Wyches and then either 5 Hellions or 3 Reavers, that gives you a solid list, I don't think Wracks will be included, seeing, as I think beginner DE players would take a Kabalite/Wych army rather then a Haemonculous one

Im just hoping they add Raiders in or atleast some sort of transport. Almost every BF has transport of some sort , DE especially would benefit from one. Raider costs more than a Rhino so i suspect the BF to cost abit more than normal. ( not like there is a set price anyways )

I was actually really dissapointed with the last DE battleforce. Not a single raider?!?!

Had a chat to my local GW store manager about when/if its being released - he rang mail order (I think) and was told its a maybe next year (at best) -but had no leads on content.

I don't understand why people are guessing that GW will include partial sprues in their battleforces.

For instance, 5 Reavers? I haven't got any yet, but they come in boxes of 3, it seems unlikely that they would make a sprue just for the battleforce.

I think the best guess is 10 wychs, 10 warriors, 3 reavers and a Raider.

Judging from the pictures, the Reavers come on three small sprues.

Myself, I don't understand why people are throwing out suggestions without checking how much theirs is worth compared to other Battleforces.

There will be no DE battleforce in the near future, but probably sometime later. So discussion now will be a bit early.

Reavers will probably come in 3's. Only the Berserkers are ever included as a half-box (well, 2/3s to be exact) and only Space Wolves (both of which are troop choices) come with twice the amount in a Battleforce.

And Necrons, which come with 2 1/3 boxes of Warriors. The important thing is not the size of the box, but whether the sprues allow you to split the box cleanly. Each Reaver is on its own small sprue, which means that GW can include them in whatever quantity they like.

The above examples though all have no variation despite the weird numbers. Reaver Jetbikes, while coming singularly on sprues, also have varied sprues. They're definately going to give people equal amount of each variant, but 6 or more bikes seems kinda much for a battle force, so I doubt if there is going to be more than 3 bikes, if they're included at all.

Yes it does. The Necron Battleforce comes with 28 Warriors and 7 Scarabs. Each sprue gives you everything you need for 4 warrirors and 1 Scarab. And it has 7 sprues, giving you 28 warriors and 7 Scarbs. The standard Necron Squad box gives 12 warriors and 3 scarabs, and it comes with 3 sprue's.

What he's trying to say is that if you can build everything you need for 1 Reaver jetbike than all you need, they could include all the sprue's they wanted. But in the case of Kabalite warriors, all the parts and options you need for it are split over multiple squads, so there's no way to give it 5 and still have all the wargear options necessary.

I understood what he said. However GW always gives all of the options for the models, so I doubt they will include 2 variants of 2 bikes, and only 1 variant of the third. Also, take a look at the actual sprue of the Reaver Jetbikes. There are tabs on each end indicating that all three sprues are cast at once, not separately (they are then separated at the joints). In the Necron Warrior example, all of the variations of Warriors are included on that one sprue, and all 7 sprues are identical. Reavers are not like that, hence why I doubt that they would include anything but a multiple of three.

Still no uppdates here? Can noone try to bully some hard intel out of the studio/figureheads on this matter? Jes would make a good target... *grin*

The Blood Angels codex came out in April, and their battleforce comes out in February. I'd expect a similar 10 month timeframe for all battleforces from here on out.
