Lessons learnt from assembling and painting these models.

1) The hellion heads are awful and out of the 8 or so provided one is maybe acceptable luckily there are lots of spares in both warrior and wych boxes.
2) In the future I will keep the rider and board seperate for painting as it proved to be somewhat difficult to get into the various nooks and crannies.
3) Because they have no base there is a tendency for paint to rub off the model as you hold it to paint, disposable gloves mitigate the problem somewhat.

After these lessons here are the results that suffered from points 2 and 3.

I like the use of the red and the contrasting greens ate the symbols on the wings freehand ?

That's a pretty good paintjob. Haha, are the provided heads really that bad?

The only thing that i dont like on them is the crotch clamps..... other then that i like the paintjob

Yeah the symbols are free hand (with paint not my normal use a thin pen cheaters method).
I realise looking I forgot to do the gems four of the crotch pads which should improve the look.
The hellion heads are awful! To me a Dark Eldar should be like an alien super-model gorgeous, aloof, drugged up to the eyeballs and prone to outbursts of violence.

Skin Base was a 1:1 mix of Tallarn Flesh and Astonomican grey, washed with a watered down version of the base with added bestial brown then highlighted with original colour.
