I know what you mean, it feels bad to beat someone really badly, unless it's in a tournament or something. Surely he'd ahve figured out how to defend himself/beat your army by now though?

I'd suggest that both of you play other people a bit. If it's just the two of you it's pretty hard for either of you to develop as players.

And you really only need to use the shift key a couple of times per sentence. (sometimes even less) Think of the wear and tear on the keyboard!

demented_gamer and The Noise Marine need to start a capital letter sharing program. For a greener tomorrow.

You only need to start each word with a capital if it is a title or a proper noun eg Demented Gamer
or indeed how you typed the title of the thread.

Otherwise just a capital for the first word of a new sentence.

or abbreviations

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

A game is no real game, if the outcome is predetermined and one side has no chance of winning. Getting always PWNED is no fun and spoils future games. So feeling sorry is a side effect of seeing the probable end of fun games.

I have an old friend who is a genuinely terrible player at all wargames he ever plays.

If he guesses a tactical situation correctly, he second guesses himself and gets it wrong.

Whenever he has good luck (for instance, a night attack) something happens to upset it.

He hardly ever wins a game. But he enjoys playing and he keeps on going.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Get the meme right or gtfo.

Find someone else to play against. If I was your friend, I would. Playing the same person ALL of the time gets boring. Losing to them doubly so.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

It may not be the case this time, but it's a technique some teachers use to help teach proper keyboard use and typing. Often times, those who learn that way get in the habit without realizing it.

I had a similar problem with one of my friends we were the only ones in our area that played and for quite a while, just after the new IG codex came out, he just couldn't beat my IG army. It wasn't really that much fun for ether of us so we went to the nearest store a little over an hour and a half away and went against different opponents for a while and now when we do go up against one another its pretty even. I would say just play against some other opponents for a while.
