Which would be better, Fire Dragons or Striking Scorpions

for what purpose?

Unless you have a specific role in mind for this new unit, and thus want us to help you compare them in terms of that role, there's only so much we can do.

What ever appeals to you, both are amazing units.

If i had to choose, it would be Fire Dragons as they can take armoured troops and tanks down easily.

As everyone has pointed out, you can't say "this unit or that unit?" with the Eldar, because each is a specialist that focuses on a specific area.

Striking Scorpions are great for Anti Light Infantry and are probably an even match for Marines.

Fire Dragons are one of the best units in the game for turning heavy tanks and transports into scrap, and they can punish MEQ units too.

It all depends on what you want to do.

I agree that they are both specialists and it all depends on the role you want filled. HOWEVER if one package of one of these is all you're getting then I would suggest Scorpions as fire dragons always need a transport to be effective.

I suggest scorpions you can infiltrate them and get into combat quite quickly, if you go fire dragons like rivers64 said, get a wave serpent too.

They fill to seperate niches, although if you are just starting out I would suggest the fire dragons.
