I call it: Who's hopped on the bandwagon?

If you've started any *new* armies (meaning from scratch, you owned no models relating to that army before) since the Dark Eldar release, list them in the poll

I have, and I LOVE playing Dark Eldar. Fast, hits like a ton of bricks, can't take a hit in turn. Such a fun army to play...

10'000 years ago, Terra was under siege. The Sons of Rogal Dorn stood firm at the gate, never letting an inch slip away so long as we drew breath. We were killed in droves defending the Emperor and his Imperium, and we killed many in turn. We defended the Emperor and his Imperium, and this is what it means to be a Fist

If going by having no models whatsoever, then I can only start the Dark Eldar since I own at least one model from every other army =x

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I've only bought a few models for my DH game thus far since my last army purchase of... 3 IOB boxes when they came out.

Thought about making a DE army though.

I'm just getting back into the hobby. I used to have a mech SM army and a DE army for 3rd edition. I'm starting an IG army because I always wanted to and I can finally afford to do it. Also, the Valkyrie and Baneblade plastic models are to die for.

The DE started to annoy me back in the day because their Raiders and Ravagers were pretty ugly and difficult to transport and use. The new models look a lot better, but I like the IG vehicles and airplane too much to start a DE army.

Those Dark Eldar are tempting, yet I'm starting Craftworld Eldar now

And pray that the new craftworld jetbike will be released soon...

I also started Craftworld Eldar; they just appealed to me more than DE and I felt it a decent counterbalance

Hmm... before the DE release, I already had at least a few models for every other army. Oops! But I did start on my Chaos Renegades army counts as Witch Hunters after the DE release. It is essentially trying to capture the flavor of Renegades list published in White Dwarf 107. I am sure it won't be the most effective army, but it will be fun to build and paint. In the meantime, I am finishing up my proper Witch Hunter army, and will need to reorganize and rebase my old 3rd edition Dark Eldar army to bring it up to speed with the new Codex.

My latest army is an Iron Warriors force with a twist. They have embraced a weaponized version of the Obliterator Cult techno-virus. Artistic influence is primarily H.R. Giger.

Next is gonna likely be Angry Marines....but thats gonna take $$.

The fact that Eldar are in second place makes me curious about whether the exposure to all the fluff around The Fall has encouraged an interest in the Eldar as a whole?

None. I was in the process of building an Eldar army, but that might take a back seat to the new DE!
