Currently i am stranded at work and i was curious if the community could answer a question of mine regarding The Empire's Hellblaster Volley Gun.


In 8th edition does this warmachine auto hit or use the crew's BS?

It uses the crews BS unfortunately.

That is what i thought. I have been playing a friend of mine who runs an empire army, and he has been using his hellblaster as an auto-hit weapon.

Just curious, was this resolved in a previous FAQ or expressly stated in the book?

It has nothing to do with 8th edition. In the most current version of the Empire book, the hellbalster produces shots, not hits.

In the older empire army book, it was an auto hit weapon (but also hit at lower strength and less shots at long range).

As above. It has everything to do with the Empire 7th edition book stating it produces some shots, not hits.
