I was looking at the space wolf codex a while back and realized you could do a list of mostly wolf guard bikers. Regardless of how horribly overcosted each model is (base cost of 53) ithpught i would try to make the best possible 1750 point list of this type

They should be able to take on an average squad in close combat and win. And i have plasma to kill heavy infantry and flamers to kill light and medium infantry. And melta bombs and some com-bi meltas to take on tanks as well as grimnars pod of fun.

How well do you think it would work?

The 5x MM drop pod and Logan on his own is horrible, but I kinda like the rest of it =]

I would hazard a guess that Logan is going to join them and give them Relentless, making them worthwhile.

The list looks entertaining but it's probably going to struggle against pretty much anything mechanised, unless they conveniently sit still for you to drop krak grenades on.

It might be fun to play though

I think that was the point of an all biker list.

The list certainly looks interesting. I would hazard a guess that it won't go around stomping everyone but through sheer "huh?" factor you could place pretty well in a tournament. I would actually be interested in seeing this list played. People often forget just how good bikes can be, but as you know they also have some serious flaws. It is hard for all bike lists to win objective missions, and this one is no exception because of how small/fragile/few the scoring units are. Looks fun overall though.

My soul hurts at the sight of this list. If your goal was to create the worst possible list I think you might have gotten pretty close hehehe.

On the off chance that you actually want to do a serious bike list I'd recommend looking into the vanilla codex. They do it much better.

HA! It's hardly THE worst list from C:SW Aldarionn. That dubious title would definitely go to the 26 model "Space Wolf Hero" list. But ya, it isn't great. Using Swiftclaws isn't a bad idea, especially as a deathstar unit but you can't make them troops so a biker list is a little undesirable with SW. The list looks both terrible and fun all at the same time. I seriously doubt anyone would invest the money in building it though.

I was thinking about this a while ago, and I would personally run them either as 3 man squads with all combi weapons, or as two 10 man biker deathstars (the new nob bikers?)

But yeah, it looks fun, but it doesnt really work due to how much 1 WG on bike costs.

It is just a horrible style of list. 53 points base for a model (Sigh) a terminator with a chain fist is cheaper.

it might not do well, but dang it, it would be fun to play.


What about throwing a few TWC into the mix and ditching the Longfangs completely? could add some focus.


WGBL on a Thunder Wolf with TH/SS and 2-3 Thunderwolves with SS and assorted CC weapons.

maybe leave 1 unit of Wolfguard on foot in a drop pod so Logan has someone to buddy up with and they can just sit on objectives.


i am not familiar with SW codex, can WG take normal Special weapons? if so you might consider not taking those Combi-meltas and just running the real deal. the bikes come with Tl-bolters and you are relentless.

Ya, IIRC the "hero list" Is Logan, Njal, Lord on TWM, Lord on TWM, 3x WG 3xWG, 3 Lone Wolves, 1x TWC, 1x TWC, 1xTWC so 16 models? It is ridiculous and it's 1850 I believe.

I have the models to do it, I have considered trying it out just for fun. It would be interesting to see just how badly I get shot off the board! It would also prove hilarious if I won...

Thats the kind of list you play for a laugh with some mates alot beers.

I see no synergy whatsoever with Logan or the Long Fangs, in fact Logan's abilities are all but wasted except for casting Relentless on the Long Fangs. Swift Claw bikers are by far a much better choice - one half the cost as a WG biker plus you can take HQ mounted on bikes and attack bikes. Sure BS3 is the suck for an attack bike but it let's you play some crazy wound allocation games with complex squads with characters attached.

Well, you could take 3-4 Rune Priests, 3 Lone Wolves, 3 TWC, Min sized GH squads in rhinos, and maybe some other stuff. A true hero list, and its pretty good.
