Not really! EBay is full of people willing to try to claim that something is rare instead of junk painted by a shortsighted baboon with a tar ball and always willing to peddle crap knowing that there is little in the way of recourse.

There are good sellers but it is starting to be overwhelmed by rip off merchants.

You paid almost exactly what it would cost brand new from any decent website, so no, you didn't get a good deal IMO.

Going off of current GW website pricing and assumeing you have a total of 20 scouts, not 40 then your stuff would retail for $410.75 US, the australian dollar is close to ours right now. At a 20% discount I get a total of $328.60... I usually buy at a greater discount then that...

There was a tiem when Ebay was the king of great deals, not so much anymore though, especially on new stuff.

Yeah I am noticing more and more these days that the real bargains are few and far between on ebay.

If you are patient Ebay is about the best place to buy models period. So far I have gotten,

28 genestealers (22 new, 6 old)
10 Gargoyles (new)
Hive Tyrant (new)
60 Termagaunts (old and new)

All of these cost me a whopping 85 dollars including shipping. Only thing is it took me about a month of checking daily to get them all.

Hell yea they do. I sell things online all the time. I used to use EBAY alot, but it got to the point where the fees were just killing any hopes of profit, and I dont sell at cost, thats just stupid lol

I was going to look into using Ebay to sell some old books, comics and such. Is it really that bad for the seller? Does anyone have a good alternative to Ebay?

Well I use craigslist, but I dont sell hobby stuff, its like cars, and junk basically lol.

If your just selling a few things EBAY can work, but if you plan on doing it oftenish, then yea Id look else where
