I haven't been to a games day in years but I remember them having a RTT. Looking at the website I can't find anything that suggests a tournament. Am I just missing it? On a side note, does anyone actually go to games day anymore?

They're not the same as they used to be, but they are still fun... Since I can't go to Adepticon next year, I had thought about making the trip to Chicago for the US Games Day instead.

I've always thought that if you played in the RTT that you missed out on all the cool stuff at Games Day. What you really want to see are the seminars and pannels with the GW guests. Also the Golden Daemon contest is a must see. Generally there are a few clubs and game tables you can get in on if you're looking to play something. The last time they did a Games Day in L.A. they sold off all the big boxes of stuff super-cheap at the end of the day. I bought the 25th Anniversary Empire Army box for $80. A good friend of mine bought the Skaven box for roughly the same price and a pair of Necron Monoliths for $40.

I'll be going. Several of us are already working on our display for this year. Gday baltimore this year was a big improvement over last, and I think Chicago is shaping up to be even better. I know GW started working on Chicago as soon as Baltimore was over. Literally.) Details are hazy because of how much alcohol I had in me.

Games Day Baltimore was awesome last year... even though the previous year was very lackluster (imho). Those are the only 2 I've been to... glad I got in before it moved to Chicago!

If you're in range of Chicago but weren't in range of Baltimore, you should totally go. (Or you could be like mikhaila and company, and go anyway ). Also don't play in the tourney... just go to the awesome club tables and the like and make sure to see as much as you possibly can!
