What happens when the Aspect Warriors are all out kicking face and the Mothership is jumped by baddies? Ring the psy-bell and summon the Guardian Malitia. To arms brothers!!

This is not an army and will likely never happen but I thought it would be fun to make an all-guardian list lead by the necessary Eldrad/Avatar duo. Feel free to post your own lists and have some fun. Would this work??

Total: 1987pts

This is a grand total of 71 Guardians and a whole lot of angry Militia. I guess this would be the case where Eldar must rely entirely on their technology. Paper-thin but everything can put out a lot of wounds. This looks fun!

I can't believe I forgot Support Platforms. Anyone wanna work those in instead of some War Walkers??

If you take out the EML War Walkers and add a battery of 3 Vibro Cannons, you'll get 60 points back, you can invest in adding some Scatter Lasers to a War Walker squad instead.

Looks like it would be fun to play, but it doesn't look extremely competitive. Might be good against swarmy armies.

I am with smitty on this one. Only in KP missions will this list suffer. Almost guaranteed to win objective based games, ore at least draw them.

Only problem I see is that only Khaine and the two warlocks with the spears can reliably kill AV13/14.

But in a 4+ objective game, this list is gold. I have seen players run a similar list, and they always own in objectives. Just the presence of 6 scoring units makes opponent target priority very difficult. And Fortune and Guide are very good in this list.

Incinerating your hopes

I say it looks pretty solid. My only major concern is heavy armor as in AV13/14. The list offers very little to combat that other than a MC, a few Singing Spears, and the occasional EML. Stuff that's running lots of Preds or LR lists are going to hurt a bit. I also prefer Scats over Shuris, better range, more shots and such. Pretty good though

I agree with the general sentiment. Lists like this are pretty solid. I made a similar list but I used 2 sets of 3 Vibro-cannons in my notional list. The last heavy slot was Scatterwalkers I believe. With Eldrad around, you could also think about tossing in a bright lance platform in one of the squads since they can be guided or just use them on the Storm Guard serpents (which is what I do in my real army)

Either way, all those wounds are hard to stop.

This army has the flavor of Ulthwe.
I definitely like it. Maybe I'll play an army like this next time.

For anyone who has played this list type before, it is not as strong as when 5th edition originally launched, but it is fun and viable.

This means no excuses for someone losing against this list.

The unfortunate truth is that without Fire Dragons and/or an Autarch with Fusion there is little Eldar in general can do against AV14. That being said, an Autarch is pretty fluffy in a list like this, if not nearly as useful as the Avatar. Also, I don't know if this list scales down very well as you lose a LOT of bodies to gain a few points.

It looks fun. Not your typical mechdar list, but that's ok!

I'd suggest you try and few Brightlances in. That way, you'd have something that could handle AV14 at range. It's not as reliable as Fire Dragons, but it's decent.

Ok, fun and fluffy being the theme: Craftworld is attacked and the valiant Autarch leads the militia in a last-ditch attempt to save their homes and lives.

Autarch (fusion, power wpn)
Farseer (guide, fortune, stones, warding)

4x 19 Guardians (Brightlance Plaform in each)
4x Warlock (Conceal, SingingS)

3 War walkers with Shuri Cannons

2x 2 Vibro Cannons

Total:1500pts

Entrech and survive!! More models on the table but a lot less competetive without the Waveserpents full of troops. 89 models though...

If the Avatar can get close enough, he can take down any mech, even AV14

on the long range, you are going to need bl or perhaps D cannons, though they are overpriced

Edit: I don't like the autarch. imo he ruins the fluff of the list, and as an ulthwe player, well I don't like him very much.

So guess what? I posted up a Swap Shop thread this morning just to see if anyone had random guardians lying around. I'm already negotiating with a guy who has 73!! This may actually happen so I'm going to try and get a good list. Lets start with 1500-1750pts and try for plenty of bodies. What I have to work with:

-80 Guardians with 4 Platforms (I'll need to get these or convert make-shift implacements for the militia)
-10 Storm Guardians (if I use these then my Guardian cound drops to about 75 as some of the models will be interchangeable)
-6 Guardian Jetbikes, 2 with shuri cannons
-2 Farseers on Foot (or Farseer and "Eldrad")
-Avatar of Khaine
-Farseer on Bike
-Hopefully enough Warlocks
-3 Fire Prisms
-3 Vipers (weapons undecided)
-4 Wave Serpents
-3 War Walkers with Shuri Cannons

So far the list is:

"Eldrad"

3x 19 Guardians (Brightlance)
3x Warlock (Conceal, SingingS)

10 Storm Guardians (2 Fusion Guns)
Warlock (Singing Spear)
Waveserpent (EML's, Spirit Stones)

3 War Walkers (2 shuris each)

Fire Prism

I know the Prisms break the theme but I have to work with what I've got and I need long-range flexibility.
