From the GW site..

Today, the blog has been overrun by Super-heavy vehicles and Apocalypse formations. At this time of year big tanks and war machines are a common sight on Gift Lists and battlefields alike, so this is the perfect opportunity to show some off. We have also added three new Space Marine Datasheets to the Apocalypse: Datasheets page - The Vengeance Task Force, The Battle for Traitor's Gorge and Shrike's Talons. This is a great article for anyone that plays Warhammer 40,000 as it is packed with over 20 different datasheet for your armies, so take a quick look now - maybe one of these battle formations would make the perfect gift. When you're done, come back to check out the cool pictures.

A Crimson Fist and Eldar allies one...

A Raven Guard one ( in case you didn't guess ! )

And a you thought Lynsander was awesome enough as he is one.

Still, they all seem like they'd be cool to use.

I'm not that impressed by the SM/Eldar one, to be honest.

Wow, this gives me hope that they'll come out with a Blood Angels/Necron battlesheet for Apocalypse.

I'm always happy to see more Apocalypse datasheets.

The What's New Today article also features my Chaos Linebreaker. It's my second time on What's New Today this week and the sixth time this year. My Chaos Trolls made it onto Monday's What's New Today. I also have pics of the models in my Gallery here on Dakkadakka if anyone wants a closer look.

I thought one of the apoc books had a couple of sisters datasheets in it. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

Edit: A quick search only revealed two:

You can't really do a non-freindly Apoc game so you could creat your own Melissia and shown them to your group for approval.

Which is because they're all metal, they have a limited, list, and no supporting material. Circular logic says that the lack of a Sisters datasheet is one of the reasons why (given your reasons) they justify the lack of a Sisters datasheet.

It's still stupid.

I do. But the lack of support from GW is still obnoxious.

There were two, both of which were relatively useless though. One allowed Exorcists to put out more fire if they all fired at the same target. Which was useless, because anything they needed that much fire against to defeat they'd still likely not do anything against with the increased rate of fire (they'd still not likely do much more than scratch a baneblade, for instance, and then they couldn't fire the next turn). The other one had something to do with heavy flamers, which was kinda useless because it's not like the Sisters have any lack of anti-infantry at apocalypse levels... no, they lack anti-tank.

The Crimson Fists and Eldar one sounds interesting. Sort of a Datasheet of SUPER DOOM!!! A single D weapon centered on Kantor would kill him and make all of the Eldar disappear, though. Since everyone I play against as at least one of those guns in their army, SUPER DOOM would last about as long as it took me to say it.

Runnin up on ya.

The Tau ones are worthless. I especially love the one that lets you get CLOSER to your enemy....you know, like the only thing that's been holding Tau back is that it takes too long for them to get into assault range......

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

I disagree the one that allows command tanks from Hammerhead/Skyray squadrons to place Like d6+3 markerlight hits on units. Is pretty darn neat come turn 3 when the battle lines are getting closer.

I send them pictures. If you want a shot at being on What's New Today you definitely have to send them pictures with a little information about the models' converting, painting, etc.

...one of my local players loves to get in to assault with tau warriors...he says he bound and determined to win a game in assault. In regards to the datasheets, I hoped for something better. Dark Eldar were just released! As stated earlier Apocalypse week was, well weeks ago and they are just now posting datasheets? Sigh.

I do like the Shrike one though, its about time one of the most renown stealth ninja space marines of our time (you know what I mean) and they just now make him worth taking...in an apocalypse game...that soooo many people play. Sigh. Still its good.

It was my first thought when I read the Marine/Eldar Datasheet as well.

Circular logic? No. Sisters are unpopular because they have always been unpopular. They exist today only because they had a champion within the studio (Andy Chambers) who managed to squeeze not one but two Codices out for them over two editions. Sure, having an all metal army doesn't help matters, but it's not a case of "They are unpopular because they don't have support and they don't have support because they are unpopular" circle. They are probably the least-played army in the game. Now they exist because of legacy issues and because GW swore to continue supporting all the lines they currently have. I'm sure they'll eventually get their renaissance-release, much like Dark Eldar just got, Grey Knights are about to get and, presumably, Necrons will get not long after that, but in the meantime, they remain an unpopular army, as they have been for 3 Editions.

The shrike one is slowed. 3 free strategic assets for 125pts... the apoc book values each asset at aprox 250pts, so that's 625pts worth of free assets just for helping GW's bottom line. Formations are the worst part of apoc.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

IIRC, that last point's incorrect... The "other" datasheet gives Sisters, who are not in their deployment zone, the Relentless USR. It's actually quite useful since being able to move and fire Multimeltas is pretty nifty...

I enjoy GW exploring 'official' Datasheets that employ two rather different armies. Eldar and Space Marines is a nice mix.
Perhaps a Chaos and Traitor (Imperial) Guard datasheet will come soon after the aforementioned Blood Angels/Necrons datasheet.
It's enjoyable for people that follow the just-for-fun rules of Apocalypse and take whatever they have in their collection. Apocalypse is supposed to be fun.

As for people going off-topic and yelling about the TV show "Sister, Sister", it was a bad show; get over it.
