Spent the majority of my time so far on this army building the actual models and doing minor conversions for weapons, position swaps and other customizations.
Actual army has built an entire battle company, partially built scout company and numerous other models to support the battle company.
The last few weeks now that my hobby room has been set up again has been spent painting.
Here is just a small sampling of the army, which I've been working on getting ready to represent my army list for RUDICON, which has a tournament tomorrow.
Space Marines - 1850 - RUDICON 12/04/2010
Excuse the lack of stand for the Land Speeder Storms as the epoxy is still setting up.
Excuse the quality of the picture, which was exposed with bad light on a mobile phone.
Painting wise I strive with this army to have a good quality table top standard of painting. I also desire to have this army done completely as it is the force that will be deployed for any future Warhammer
40K Apocalypse games, which I may participate in. At the end of the day most models look great at a viewing distance of one foot.
Feel free to post comments and or questions.
Adding this older picture, which was taken when I was coming up with the color scheme for my army. Here you can see how I diverge from the typical Ultramarines paint treatment. Personally I've never been a fan of the line or edge high lighting style.
Painting the units up this way enables me to get them table top ready in a much more reasonable time frame.
