Someone I regularly play with has been using old zogwort as of late and seems to think he can simply roll a psychic test and remove any IC from the field and replace it with a STr 3 T3 w1 model under his control. I still haven't seen the neither characteristic profile nor the special rules for old Zogwort, and am having an extremely hard time believing this. I've tried googling the model, and I've tried searching for it on these forums but the search function seems to be crap.

Can anyone please explain this rule to me?

Do YOU think this is a competitive/cheese list, or a casual list?

That's not quite how it works.
The target IC (and it must be an IC) must be within 18" and within LoS
The player controlling Zogwart also has to win a roll-off.
Page 61 of the Ork codex will tell you the details.
Ask your friend to show you in his copy if he's insisting on this.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

If you want his rules look in the codex, in short if he's within range there's a chance your uber dude is gonna be a squig

Your best bet in that situation is just to ask your opponent to show you the rule in their codex.

However, as already pointed out, it requires a roll-off. It's not automatic. And he has to actually have a squig model.

pg61 of the Ork dex is the reference. Basically he rolls an Ld test. If he passes, he can pick an IC of yours his model can see. If in 18", you both roll off. If he wins, your guy is squig'd - if a tie or you win, nothing happens.

And the squig is not in his control, it's in yours.

Zogwart's Curse:

He rolls psychic test, which is a basic Leadership test using the Ld stat. If Zog's in a group of 11 or more boyz, then it is automatic.
If you have an IC in range, then he can choose to either use the curse, or a regular power. If he chooses the curse, then:

You and he roll a die each. Whoever rolls higher, wins. If you win, nothing happens. If he wins...

Your IC turns into a squig, the model of which he has to supply, but the squig is still in your control.

His leadership, though pretty good, won't grant an automatic pass. As a Weirdboy, the mob rule will only up his leadership to 10... according to the Ork FAQ (Page 1).

Still the ability to turn any IC into an iddy biddy Squig is quite simply Awesome!

Correct. Fearless units still have to roll for psychic tests.

Huh. Did not know that. Useful to know if I ever end up with a Weirdboy.
