Hey all, I have some genestealers laying around that I would like to to chop up and pose with some more interesting poses.

Any suggestions or tips? I've looked around for any articles or tutorials covering it and can't really find anything. Or I'm blind.

Any Model Posing Tips?

Yeah, invest in a pin vise and drill. Otherwise you'll feel like smashing your face into a wall due to how slowly you have to sculpt pure GS builds....its very time consuming.

Somewhere in south-central England.

If they are plastic Genestealers, use thin plastic rod rather than wire to pin the limbs together.

Get yourself a bottle of liquid plastic cement. It works to dissolve the surface of the plastic and weld them into a continuous piece, forming a very strong bond.

You'll probably need to use putty to make good some of the reposed joints. This will also add strength to them.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

If you want to do some serious reposing you should think about each model as if its an individual viginette. Try to come up with a theme of what each beastie is doing in the snapshot that the model is posed. It might be a bit different with non-humans, but when I'm reposing Guardsmen I tend to try and hold the pose myself to think about where all the limbs and bits need to go to acheive the idea.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Thanks guys for the advice! I'll have to pick up a few things.

Question @ Killkrazy, why use a thin plastic rod rather than thin wire?

@Flinty: I'm a huge comic fan as well as a Character Animator, I have looooots of ideas for posing models and can't wait to jump into it!
