Dawn of war: dark crusade. excellent single player, good mutliplayer

Soulstorm was ok imo, but dow2 is not WAR. It's campaign is ok, but it's multiplayer is trash and the only saving grace is the last stand mode.

If I wanted dow 2 the way it is now, I would have gone and bought squad command or something, since the multiplayer was basically that. It also had no way to focus the battle and adding in the fact that you can retreat easily was just insult to injury.

I just don't like it, perhaps that will change with the newest expansion, but one simple change would save it. Really. Just add a few npc basic troops at any point you capture in the multiplayer, this solves the focus problem and makes it easier to fight rather than play ring-around-the-control-points

Dawn of War: Dark Crusade

Dow 1 was nice, but winter assault did resist to tun on the PC and thus I had to play it after installing Dark crusade.....
Somehow, dark crusade is easier to run as winter assault

DoW 2 is just not what I want to play.

Soulstorm adds a bit to DoW, but still Dark crusade had the best balance and thus my vote goes to DC.

Dawn of war, and dawn of war winter assault. They have a good story. I started playing these for the story, but the online is better on soulstorm. But after the first two games, the rest just sucked story wise.

I liked every campaign except Soulstorm's, it just felt like a watered down, slower, kind of Dark Crusade's.

But strangely my favourite is Soulstorm, more races are always better.

Dawn of war 2, cause it has awesome graphics, and soulstorm, cause its better than Dark Crusade, on multiplayer, not in the campaign mind you

I voted DoW2. It is the game that got me into 40K, and i love games where one wrong move can cost you the game. Good motivation to NOT make a mistake.

Dawn of war. All of them, as the more races you had, the better multiplayer was. There is no option for this, but I choose all of them except Dawn of War II.

Dawn of War II isn't even in the same genre. It is a completely different game that I am happy I skipped.

I was so pumped for DOW II.
Then I played it.
Imho it has nothing to do with 40k other than having space marines in it.. By itself it might be a good game, but the first series of DOW definitely had the actual game more in mind.

I need to play DoW 2 before I vote. However my fav was still Dark Crusade. Soulstorm feels like it was put together at the last second (the portraits were all wrong, the wargear looked funny, they obviously forgot to compensate for the Tau when they painted the army, and the SoBs were pretty much flamer marines)
