Okay, I want to make a squad of death korps death riders. I have all the bits needed except for the horse and legs. What horse and legs do you think I should use (On a budget)?

You could use normal horses.
My favorites though are the mounts by Urban mammoth:

Don't know if non-GW models are allowed.

Marauder horsemen. They have boots and the Horses are pretty fierce for a nuked world.

What do you mean by you have the bits except for horses and legs? Do you just have the death rider bodies?

This probably belongs in P&M, some pics would make it a bit clearer in what you want to do.

IF you have Death Rider bodies from FW, then legs from any other GW calvary model will look really bottom heavy and rather weird.

If you are scratch building everything (have Cadian bodies etc.) then fantasy outriders as a base would be a good start. Again, pics would really help to know what you want to do.

You could always try using the new high elf elliryan (sp?) reaver horses and just cut the elves off.

Though I know GW sells just horses in their bits section of fantasy, beyond that I'm not much help.

I don't have the DKoK torso and stuff, but I am going to be buying a load of cadian models and giving them some PI gas-mask heads. I am getting all the bits for/shortly after christmas and all I need is where to get the horses and legs. Marauder horsemen seem the best so far.

Get the models you bum!

Trust me you won't regret it, the only reason to use death korps is because of the awesome models. Otherwise, a custom regiment is far cooler.

I am a 14-year-old teen. I get £5 a week. I can't afford an entire FW army. I am getting the commissar and hades breaching drill. I can't afford £54 for 5 men.

actually it's £50 for 5 guys. that's only 10 weeks of saving!

Also you won't have to suffer the dissapointment of saying "I have Death Korps" then your opponent being sorely dissapointed when he sees cadians.

(I'm not kidding actually. The majority of my 40k stuff came from Gifts at Christmas and Birthdays. I actually paid very little out of my own pocket).

since I have a new 250gb Xobx 360, a smartphone, and some heresy-era RG on the way, it isn't going to be this christmas. And IG are expensive. I worked out that after spending well over £200, I would have 1,000pts.

and that's exactly why people get FW regiments in small pieces. Trust me, I collect both elysians and krieg (both nearing 2000 points) and it took me a good year and a half to get there.

(even with a job! I have no money now :()

lol. After a single year of collecting, I got to around 4000 points of nids, 3000 points of Chaos Marines, 3000 points of SMs, 2000 points of Tau, and 2000 points of Eldar. Now I have 1000 more points of Chaos, 2000 points of Chaos Daemons, and 10 Leman Russ tanks backed by a baneblade.

My laptop has some issues with pictures, namely that it cannt "copy image location".
