What do you think is more effective for Land Speeders (and similar fast+skimmer vehicles) as far as putting them in squadrons or leaving them solo? Squadron gets extra armor for free and gives you the ability to put all the damage on a certain model and leave the other one unscathed, yet wrecks you on a 4+ instead of 5+. IMO an immobalized speeder is a dead speeder, so squadroning makes sense.

Take 'em in pairs usually pretty cheap and if they die no bigge.

Land speeders are good in squadrons, since they're so cheap. Things like leman russes and hellhounds aren't really good for squadrons.

Depends on what you're using them for. An immobilized speeder that deepstriked into the thick of enemy lines is still able to fire and is still good, likewise if its a Typhoon support speeder the immobilization is nearly irrelevant to its ability to fire. Squadroning them makes them able to be destroyed by boltgun fire.

For support, I would think, it wouldn't matter as much as they're staying far back.

This was what I've heard anyway, I myself have no experience with speeders whatsoever so take with salt. Cheers.

I run 2 squadrons of 2 Typhoons for fire support. With squadroning I get free extra armor and the ability to allocate damage, and get a cover save easier, plus fit a 4th one in my list.

Dropping 1 gives me 3 different things to shoot at instead of 2 and gives me 90pts to spend though.
