Subject: Is there a market for trading video games/consoles for minis?

Just trying to get a general survey but I was wondering if anyone thinks its feasible to trade video games for stuff like 40k and fantasy.
I see threads on dakka and rogue market where people put up 360s, PS3s, and their games but I can never find out if they trade.
Personally, I'm looking to unload a 360 with 250 gig HD w/ network adaptor and a lot of games with it for terrain but I don't feel quite ready to start a trade thread yet.

i've found it to be a very hit or miss, depending on the age of the system and rarity of the games

I dont see why there couldnt be. Sounds like an acceptable trade. I do think however, the leverage in the trade goes to the person who is trading away their electronics, seems like the individual with the minis would have to pony up a little extra in the trade to make it a fair deal.
-If anyone is interested I have a virtually brand new PS3 that im looking to trade away if the offer is nice enough

We've got a Video Games trade forum on Bartertown. People trade them for minis all the time.

people do trade them but there are inherent problems with technology that you don't get if you're just trading minis for minis. I'm not suggesting you're one of them by any means but there are unscrupulous sellers/traders out there that mod their xbox or cheat so frequently that their xbox is banned from xbox live; they'll then sell/trade those to unsuspecting users who aren't aware or simply forget to ask. also with tech (especially the xbox with the RROD.. i'm on xbox #5 in 3 years), you run the risk of it failing soon after. what happens when the xbox out of warranty breaks within a week of recieving it due to no one's fault? that just sounds like a transaction report waiting to happen and not something you have to worry about with minis (hey, my grey knight just stopped true gritting after one game! WTF?!). i'm not suggesting that you not unload the xbox, just make sure to discuss the possibilities ahead of time with other users.
lol, that being said, i'm possibly interested in the network adapter. check out my trade thread linked below (i don't have terrain but have figs) and PM if you're interested in anything. if not, no big deal.
