So I'm trying to figure out ideas for converting a Librarian out of some standard plastic minis.
Any ideas of how to represent a Psyhic Hood and other various Libby bitz in plastic? Especially if I want to Keep him with a helmet.

Here's my AoBR Terminator Librarian:
As for generic Psychic Hoods, take a spare SM shoulderpad (you should have many of those) and cut sections out of it till it has that three-pronged look and just fit it to the back of the head. Works for helmeted heads too. The Tigrus Model seems to just have a band of metal across his head for the hood, it's empty on the back.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |

Do it like you make any type of wizardly thing... add a staff and a big book.

Well, if I can find an approprieate booky bit I may add one hanging off his belt, but I want him to have a suitably impressive force weapon. (Thinking about one of the new Kromlech swords that were previewed)
Automatically Appended Next Post: Bump, for feedback. No one has any ideas?

prefab is tough sometimes when you are looking for such a specific retrofit. You may want to consider GS.

There's actually a pretty easy way to convert psychic hoods - so much so that it's sort of the internet standard. I'm surprised that no one's mentioned the Commander Y-pattern psychic hood yet. Commander Y over on B&C was the first to really popularize this style. Check here for a tutorial on it: http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/2010/11/librarian-psychic-hood-conversion.html

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack |
