I had a whole slew of those guys way back when, in that color scheme too if i remember correctly.

I miss em now... haha

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

I loved these models back in 2nd ed. How long did it take you to paint all of those?

Okay, I've been on a bit of a hiatus 2011-14

Thanks for all of the positive replies! To answer a couple of questions, it took me about 2-2.5 weeks to do these guys ( maybe 4 or 5 days here and there where I didn't have time, but from start to finish that's about right). My goff ors took me about 3.5 weeks to do.
The bases are made of sand, small stones, and static gras, all painted.

nice!

How many Space Marines does it take to screw in a lightbulb.

6, 1 techpriest and 5 tacticals that stand around trying to pose like badasses.

An Ork, Space Marine and Eldar are walking down the road. They see a Chaos portal that has a sign on it. It says: 'say what is true or be sucked in'. The Space Marine says: "I think I'm the bravest" and walks past safely, the Eldar says: "I think I'm the most agile" and walks past safely. The Ork says: "Me thinks..." and gets sucked into the portal.

Thanks, and 120? holy. I have 104 Grots now. 60 or so of these guys, 30 new ones, and a handful of old metal ones. I don't think I am ever going to field all of them at once, but if I do, watch out 'umies!

+1

The older stuff has a certain nostalgic charm, but lets not get crazy...

However i think some of the most recent ork stuff is a little overdone. I prefer the previous "walking can" deff dreads to the new deff dread which is too busy and OTT foe my liking, so I can relate to people's liking some of the older models, etc.

Nice bit of old skool! Good work!

As for stepping on these guys, that was nothing compared to when you stepped on one of the 2nd Ed orks! Bloody spikey helmets!

I remember my brother killing my Termie squad with a bunch of these! Which isn't good seen as the Termie save was 3+ on 2d6!

Need more 's in my life!

Man I give credit where it's due. That's alot of patience to paint that many mono-pose models. Takes me back to the horror of painting all my AoBR marines. Great work.
