Torso, base and legs come in separate parts. However the body is a one-piece cast (unlike the GW one where it's multiple panels. Dont know about the legs, but I assume the leg armor comes separate, and everything else is a one piece cast. Arms come in different pieces depending on the arm.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

For the Space Wolves one I bought, it came in about 7 pieces. Head, torso, legs, feet, a banner pole, and the base. You've got to buy arms of course so that's a few pieces you can tinker around with. Those parts are all one solid piece so there isn't anything to glue together to make the torsos or legs, you just have to glue the major body pieces together.

Hope this helps and enjoy the models!

As stated above, the torsos are one piece, but the power plant on the backs are separate and the hardest part of assembling the whole kit. There's a huge gate of resin on the back of the torso that needs to be removed in order for the power plant to fit. The rest of the assembly is nothing special.

Having got three of the chaos dreads I can confirm that you get:

2 feet.
1 pair of legs (with armour attached).
1 rear/arse armour plate.
1 torso.
1 power plant/exhaust system.
2 grenade launchers
2 weapons/sensors that are underslung on the front of the torso.

Weapons vary, obviously, as does whether the head is attached and some come with banners etc. And yes, I can confirm that the exhaust pack is a bugger to fit and you'll probably have to clip an entire models worth of resin off before you can make a start on painting it.

Worth it for the level of detail you get, although I was mildly disappointed to find that the Death Guard dreadnought isn't as detailed as the Nurgle one. Far less pustules and fleshy growths, still they were a bugger to paint so every cloud and all that.

On a related subject, are the forgeworld arms compatible with the standard plastic dreadnought and vice versa?

I was quite annoyed to discover that the Standard, Venerable and AoBR all have different size spigots...

Not sure as I don't own any of the GW plastic kits. Having said that the resin arms will be very easy to adapt, especially if the holes are too small. Either way it shouldn't be too much trouble to get them to fit.
