I got me an Ork Warboss off Ebay. It said Warboss with Power Klaw and two Grots (And I do like me Grots), and was the metal version. I thought it was too good to be true. Turns out it was. It was with a Nob's PK. But it did come with two Grots.

I thought what I could do with it for a while, and came up with this:

I'm quite proud of it. It's no GD entry, but it won me 2nd prize at a small local painting/model competition (partly for the humour).
I don't use him for combat. He's still on display at the game store.

Anyone else got some Warboss conversions?

Lovely stuff. Did you convert the model, or just paint it?

Either way, it looks damn cool.

Thanks. (:

Yeah I converted it to what you see there. It was a standard boss, missing a backpack and with the Nob's arm. I used the torso of a Stormboy for the backpack/grot chair, and then other bits to bulk it out. A bit of greenstuff in his armpit so that the arm didn't look too out of place on that angle.

Even better if you converted it too.

I love the Grot Gunner and all the extra bits added on.

Wow. They're some pretty awesome bosses. I like how they fit the crazy 'Screw It, It'll Do' attitude of the Orks. (ie armour plates bolted on in seemingly random places)

Technically a grot, but you come and try kick him out - he's bigger the Gazzie btw :

The model is part of my grot revolution, the squeaky Waaagh! (link in sig), which uses the ork codex. He counts as an warboss in mega-armour with bionics; I still need to finish his bosspole though. For those interested: the model is based on a Tau stealth suit, with the torso twisted 90° sideways, some ork bitz and lots of plasticard.
