I was wondering if the stuff included in the box is a good deal.
10 blood claws, 10 grey hunters, 5 scouts, and a drop pod

Well, if you price them out individually your basically getting the drop pod for free.

So...

1 - If you going to use drop pods, its a good deal because the SW pack boxs are just awesome, and you get a free drop pod.

2 - If your not going to use drop pods, then really whats the point.

3 - Since it comes with a regular scouts box, hope your planning on using wolf scouts, otherwise those are wasted figures as well.

Are wolf scouts good?
I have yet to even get the 'dex yet.

Also, I'll probably use drop pods

Wolf Scouts IMO are badass and do not get the attention they deserve.

In response to your question the answer is, "Yes" if you are indeed building a Space Wolf army...

Basically the SW bits that come with in the box set these days are awesome and will allow you to construct basically every unit in your army that wears power armor.

In regards to the question about the Wolf Scouts, they are very useful and can be armed in many different ways. Personally, I'm a big fan of Wolf Scouts with melta bombs led by a Wolf Guard that has a Power Fist and Combi-Melta. However, a lot of guys will bring the Wolf Scouts and just give them a melta gun.

The drop pod is a nice touch, but I generally don't use more than 1 in my army...

Good Luck!

Its a fantastic buy

Its basically two wolf packs, scouts box, and of course the drop pod.

I dislike drop pods personally but you can probably trade NoS drop pods for rhinos.
