Whoah, thanks for pointing that out! Also, Chaos in the Old World is there for cheaper as well.

In fact, all the FFG stuff is. Nice!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Played Horus Heresy. Didn't liked it. I am inherently biased against 2player games though because of how many people we tend to have at the FLGS for board game nights.

Chaos In The Old World on the other hand, now That's an awesome game.

I'd really like to try that game, but even at that deep discount it is too much to throw down for a 2 player game that has mixed reviews, at best.

Horus Heresy is a great game. I'd recommend it.

I have it but haven't played it yet - are you against it solely for that reason, or for others too?

BTW, I'm lucky if I can find the one other person to play this game with in my area, so 2 player only is a benefit for me!

The same for me here. My game group is flaky, and we often get cancellations. It's good to have that game that plays well at a two player level. Not a game that *can* be played at the two player level, but is handicapped when it does so.

Coolstuffinc is the cheapest around for boardgames...http://www.coolstuffinc.com/

however amazon has them beat on horus heresy at the moment by $2.

chaos in the oldworld is significantly cheaper at coolstuff though.

I disliked the game for reasons other than just being two player only, but it's been long enough I do t remember exactly what I disliked.

It does offer some amusing revisionist history though. In our game when Horus attacked the Emperors palace, Sanguinus was going to have none of it and boarded his flagship and handed Horus his arse.

I remember one game when I played as the Imperium, I was getting my ass handed to me. Chaos was crawling all over the Palace, so I teleported up to the Vengeful Spirit. Sadly, Horus boarded a drop pod to high tail it out of there, and I pummeled him on Terra.

My only complaint about the game is movement. You have so little time to get things done, and every time you do something, it gets closer to the enemy's turn, and the game's end. To get in position for an attack takes so long, you often don't see any maneuvers at all.

Same here. There is a local group that only plays 40k, a few that only play D&D. Its hard to find a group that is willing to do a variety of games. Well, there is a board game group about an hour away...but they play stuff like Argicola, Puerto Rico, the Catan series, etc.

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes
Blackwater Gulch
X wing
Open to other games too

My copy arrived from Amazon today, just a few days after ordering. Excellent, fast and free shipping. This game is massive and looks like a lot of colorful fun, if a bit intricate and time-consuming.

eh. I have Amazon Prime so would have free 2 day shipping, so it would be $65, 2 day delivered, and even so, I find HH to be a tough sell. The reviews seem iffy at best, and frankly, $65 is still a great deal of money for a board game. I suspect I'd like this less, and get to play it less, then the lower-costed Last Night on Earth, Arkham Horror, Talisman, or Castle Ravenloft.
