The poses are quite static, but the details are excellent. I look forward to seeing the development of these continue.

I like them, very nice sculpting, especially the heads.

Now start working on making them a little less flat/2d and we have some winners here

Agree with Johira; the details are fantastic but the mon-pose detracts from the overall awesomeness.

Nice looking figures! I love the detail, the textures, and the character in the faces. I agree the poses are a little static, but these look to be very evocative and highly promising sculpts regardless.

They look awesome!! I like the gloves on the left hands gives the race a unifying look besides being short. Gives a little insight into the possible culture of the race.

I think they look great, poses are fine by me.. Not every model needs to be pointing and screaming great start so far

More poses would be great but for what you've got to date, I love it!

I'll be buying some when you're ready to sell some!

Very nice stuff. I could do with some of those as they fit the miners theme for my IG force nicely; I will keep an eye on these and order some when they go into production

Nice sculpting, and I like the poses.....nice work.

These are pretty gooid looking minis, Not bad for someone who starting full on sculpting 2 years ago.

about the static poses i have to agree with you but the main reason behind it
is that i've based all the design process directly on these 2 figures and to simplify
it i preferred to start with a static pose; also taking in consideration that with a
dwarf like body with short leg and bulky torsos is not easy to achieve a credible
dynamic pose.
Another reason is that i have a tendency to prefer display static poses where you can appreciate all the details
of the miniature.

however i have another pair of miniatures in development with a more dynamic stance.

about the exo armour i've made a prototype but i'm not very happy with it,
perhaps i can post some pic to have some feedback.

(also the 2.5 mm, is that supposed to be 2.5 inches?)

If those were for WHFB they'd be awesome. 40k players might be a little disappointed in the lack of posability though.

The ones shown do look remarkable similar to the pictures of early sculpt squats kroothawk had up a couple weeks ago.

Are these the same that will leaked/linked to the "Mystery Box" but were then tied to... Dark Heresy or some such, a while back?

They showed up on the thread about the new Tau codex when someone mentioned them getting squats. Caption said the photo was from 2009 when GW sent the sculpts to FFG for references.



These Sculpts look almost identical. A good thing in my opinion

Really like them. Not sure why people always complain about static poses?

1. Not every miniature should be posed like a ballerina on crack.

2. This type of miniature isn't geared towards non-static poses in the first place.

I really like your Ulkan models, and have ordered the one armed with the crushhammer. I plan on ordering the other one with the magma gun in a couple of weeks. Keep up the great work

Wow! These are really, really nice models.

I, for one, think that you could take the "static pose" and use it to illustrate the stolid, stalwart, uncompromising nature of the Ulkans. If they are a high gravity race and value stable footing over manuverability (think Slow and Purposeful over Fleet), then their "action poses" are going to be very stable, grounded stances. Keep the "static pose" and have some with braced weapons, etc.

Just really, really cool.
