Firing my Hellgun into a Fire Warrior's head....

I have always wondered why the Chaos gods dont infuse their minions armor with impenetrable super awesome warp stuff that cant be harmed by any enemy ammunition. I understand from a tabletops perspective that would suck and Chaos would always win, so ofcourse GW wouldnt do that.
Though in the fluff couldnt the Chaos gods make all of their soldiers invincible and armed to the teeth with incredible weapons and armor?

Chaos is about ruination, not creation.
They prefer their minions ruined too....
How should the minions defeat the other minions if both were invincible? You know, these chaos'gods' aren't bestfriends.

Chaos is chaotic, and also believes in the survival of the fittest, rewarding those who do well and using the rest for cannon fodder Followers are just pawns in their games (as are many of the lesser and even greater daemons when it comes right down to it)... why share their power with them?

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

...urrrr... I dunno

I think it comes down to the fact that when it comes to the objectives of the Chaos Gods, material gain of the sort you'd get by conquering the galaxy is actually very low on their list of things to do. To the Chaos Gods, conflict and raw emotion are somewhat more important than any empire that their followers could create, and so it doesn't matter to them if their followers die for them, as that benefits them too due to the release of usable souls.
It's all pretty confusing, really.

I'd imagine the Gods may interpret it all as a game. Pick a promising dude, power him up a bit each time he levels, see how far he can go. If he dies, oh well. You've got all the time in the universe (literally), so find another pawn.
Think of it as Fantasy Champion of Chaos league.
