I was just (well at the time of writing this say 6 hours had past from) lurking 1d4chan and I came across this bit of fan fiction called “The Commissar and His Maid" which I thought was quite amusing and then came to the "Love and Krieg" which I completely adore and the epic Spin off Sagas (best way to describe these collection of combined storeys).

A lot of it was funny, a lot sad and some just dam right Grimdark, but, very inspiring.
I was wondering how many of the users here on Daka have read it and what do they think of the collected works.

Me personally thought it was some of the best written fan fiction...nay...40k fiction written that I have read in years. Granted it an't going to win the Booker Prize or the other big literary prizes but I liked it. You can sort of relate to the personality's portrayed in the storeys...yet as with every thing there is no happy ending on the scrap heap (a internet cookie for any one whom gets that animé quote).

I now have a much greater respect for the Men and Women of Krieg.

Just read Love and Krieg...which was fantastic. Will now have to read the rest of them. Goddamn it, this is going to keep me up all night
