I know some people charge to make a Sig or Banner, or for commissions and background services.

I guess it is a way of money, but I mean I do it all the time for free.

Should I be charging? I recently made one for myself, it wasn't over the top, but it's how I wanted it to be.

I've done animated ones, blends and burns, heck even collages.

Would anyone be interested in having one done for their forum name and or personal army?

I'm just bored, and if you feel the need to pay me or trade me a model i.g. 1 SM model, 1 Ork boy, etc. Heck I'd take a dollar.

Unless they're offering the sistine goddamn chapel I think charging for something like a forum signature is taking the piss, personally.

Well on this MTG forum I'm part of, there were several "artists" that charged.

Mind you the banners were good, but, they were asking like $20-?? depending on what they wanted.

Also after you paid, you had to have their company and or name with a link on your SIG pic or as a separate url.

It was quite an eye sore. I'll at least credit the artist, but then it makes me think of this...

MTG art has it's own artists, so when you make a mixed banner, of art you don't own, and you have Photoshop, and just do a few things here and there. Then ask for payment, it just sickens me.

It's like "Hi, I can make you a nice banner, but you have to credit me and me only, and then spread it, oh and I'll charge you a lot for art I don't even own."

That's why I asked for a donation or trade, I don't need it, I'm simply bored.

But I do agree, unless it's a outstanding job, would I pay, because I can do it myself no problem.

Well like I said, it's more fun, and if someone felt like they should give me a dollar or a model, that would be fine, but it's not necessary.
