If you could buy into the team tournament as both people by yourself, that would be awesome.

There should be single players looking to team up that day.

The local forums are http://forums.gvillegaming.org/ if you want to post there to get a teammate.

Teaming up with a stranger for a team tournament is definitely unattractive.

Well, then bring a friend, your wife or come and play on Jan 1 to meet people. That way they won't be a stranger

I'm actually considering coming up for this. Maybe. I just don't want to make the trip up only to find out that I'm the odd man out and can't play.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Well, if you're the odd man out, then we'll kick out a local Actually, I think there will be an extra player just in case we have an odd. Someone that will play if they need to.

Hmm, maybe you can convince a buddy of mine from Tampa to come up with you. He's been meaning to come up here and play. He plays at Armada occasionally, and recently won a tournament there with his orks.

Bastard. A chance for us to meet and have me buy you a beer and the ONE TIME you decide to head north will be the day after I've left. :(

I'm the king of bad timing, Dash. This year I'm pushing hard to hit more big tournaments, so we'll meet eventually.

Beverage of choice is the Captain, though. We should get along swimmingly.

Sure, if you want to get him in touch with me, we can work it out. I have to double-check my schedule for that day, but Gainesville's a short hop.

Just to let you all know, you can now call the store to register for this.

It went well with 9 teams showing up. The winning team was Space Marines / Space Wolves. I believe the store is running another team tournament in a few months.
