Ol' Blighty

I bring you Commander Lenore:

fluff:
Lenore is armed with a plasma pistol and power fist. Lenore is a veteran, having served over two centuries. His trademark is his left side, famously blown off by his trusty plasma pistol in his first battle as a sergeant. His commander, Learchus, was torn limb from limb by a daemon prince. His boltgun spent, Lenore dived under the daemon's swipe and whipped up the still-burning plasma pistol. Though it's cells had not had time to cool, he had no choice. He fired, and the shot sent the howling daemon back to the warp. The sergeant's entire left side was left a smouldering wreck, but luckily apothecary Dacus was nearby. following immediate thunderhawk extraction, the unconscious marine saved the planet of Garntis. For his actions, Lenore was promoted to be the new commander of Muninn. The plasma pistol was crafted in the days before the heresy, and is made of sterner stuff than its more modern counterparts- it survived the overheating and Lenore still uses it.

points: 200.
WS6 BS5 S4 T4(5) A3 W3 I5 Ld10 Sv2+

Wargear:
master-crafted power fist
artificier armour
iron halo
extensive bionics- as much machine as he is man, Lenore gains +1T, as if he is on a bike (so he can still be ID'ed by S8 stuff)
plasma pistol- If it overheats, he ignores it, because all his parts that would be damaged by it have already been replaced.

special rules:
feel no pain
eternal warrior
ATSKNF
combat tactics- a sergeant in the army may be selected to be "Venerable", meaning he has FNP.
hard as nails- Lenore is so tough, on the turn he dies, on a 3+, he gets back up with 1 wound remaining. This may only happen once.
legendary resilience- due to his legend, all friendly units within 18" of him may use his Ld.
comments?

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.
corpsesarefun: Thank god I missed be nice to shrike day.
greenskin lynn: because of all the skittles and soda, you basically live off sugar water, like some sort of freakish human-hummingbird hybrid.

would he stand up to lysander? no. yet they are the same points. SC's tend to be thier equivalent (captain) with thier wargear, and each USR/SR is about 10 points, depending on how good they are.
captain- 100 (100)
PF- 25 (125)
plasma pistol- 15 (140)
artificier armour- 15 (155)
FNP- 15 (170)
extensive bionics- 10 (180)
hard as nails- 15 (195)
legendary resilience- 10 (205)
ET- 10 (215)
then they shave off a few points to round it off (200).

Ol' Blighty

and I take it you are a fan of Edgar?
Have you read C:SM 5th ed.? shrike's quote: "darkness there, and nothing more"...corax's last words: "nevermore"...RAVEN guard...Corax translates into "RAVEN", Corvus the mk. armour RG wear a lot, translates into "RAVEN"...I thought it to be quite fitting.
