Painting Within the Lines

I, like a fool, went out and bought a copy of Operation Cobra to make my first list. Little did I know that a better version of the same list I want to play is coming out next month. I was just curious if anybody had a copy of the "Earth & Steel" book from the compilation. I sure would love to know the new points values of the units I'm looking at before I go drop money on anything!

Well, the D-Day book changes a lot of things actually... Some price changes as you say, but also quite a few changes to what units you can include in your list...
I don´t know how I could give you the exact prices without breaking forum rules, but I can tell you that 76mm Sherman´s are cheaper, and you can now get an Airborne platoon as infantry support for your 2nd armored.
I think it´s the best book for US lists so far, really improves on a lot of things from the old books.
Still doesn´t give me the fire direction center for my Normandy lists, but ah well, them´s the breaks...

Battlefront are pretty good with letting us share point values, they are not as crazy as GW so feel free to share (obviously not just typing out whole pages or scanning stuff though )

Okay then, will do so.
Basically it seems like they´ve evened out some point values, as well as making the 76mm Sherman´s their own choice.
As for prices:
(2nd armored/3rd armored)
HQ(two regular shermans) 180/140 pts
75mm Shermans are
3 270/205 pts
4 360/275 pts
5 450/345 pts
76mm Shermans are 20pts extra (still max 1 platoon)
I don´t have my cobra book here, but I don´t think the changes for 2nd armored are so big that you couldn´t just use the Cobra book.
The D-Day book just gives you a few extra toys in the lists.
I´m looking forward to combining my 2nd armored with some paratroopers for an elite US army...

Wow, those are some nice point drops. I'm actually planning on running a Waffen- SS PG list, specifically 12th panzerdivision. I asked the same question on the BF forums and it looks like I get to go shop for some extra toys! My big worry was that I wouldn't be able to fit my old list in. I'm glad to see that's not a problem
Thanks for the replies!

I understand Gepanzert Panzergrenadiers are much cheaper. How much are they for 2nd SS?
Thanks.
