about the DA upgrade kit- can anyone tell me a list of what's in it? 'coz I read it has enough for about 10 marines, and it doesn't show everything included in the pictures...
does it have 10 torsos and legs? What else is in it?

Hm, looks more like it has enough for 3 full marines plus options...but thats only by looking at the picture. Wish I knew more, but I'm interested as I'm making my marines into DA.

There are photos of the actual sprue somewhere on DakkaDakka. One sprue contains all of those head, chest, backpack and weapon variations, with enough duplicates for 5 marines. It also comes with 5 bodies, duplicates of 2 of the robed bodies and 1 of the robed body that is running I think. You get two of these sprues in the DA upgrade Kit.

I heard it was two. There was a thread a little while ago about someone ordering the sprue and getting two by suprise. I presume this is the norm.

hmm, I was talking about ordering a set with a guy from GW, and I heard you got three sets.

Now when making a sale, you can't really lie like that to a customer....

But then again.. I may be getting mixed up with the BT upgrade pack, in any case, it's best to have a look around (or even better, phone up and ask the guys at GW instead of trusting random internet goers!)

I asked my FLGS manager- he said he has never bought one, but normally GW kits have the contents on the site.

Here's the link, I searched it up a while ago researching the sprues. You get two sets of the Veteran 1 and Veteran 2 sprues (they're cast together, so technically you're only getting 2 frames, but it's broken into 4 sprues)

Correct me if i'm wrong, but that's the DA veterans sprue- I want to know the contents of the DA chapter upgrade sprue.

still, I might be getting the veterans, so thanks for that.

If it turns out you get exactly what it says on the GW site, i'll be getting the veterans.

You get two sets of veteran sprues in the DA upgrade kit. The veteran boxset only gives you one set of that sprue, and the SM Weapons Sprue. There's been two discussions already about how people do not believe how good of a deal the upgrade kit is.

that is incredibly stupid of GW. "Either buy 5 DA men for £15, or buy 10 DA men for £12."
seriously? wow. My marine army is now going to consist of DA marines.

The only reason I dont buy them is because my local FLGS gives me a squad of AoBR Tact Marines for 20 bucks, much cheaper than ordering the DA Kit.

Also, the Upgrade Kit does not come with any bases whatsoever.

it's an upgrade kit, so technically it's not suppose to be complete models. GW sorta figured they can keep to that by not including bases.

10 Robed marines
2 Terminator Assault cannons
2 Terminator Legs
2 Terminator power swords
2 Terminator storm bolter
2 Storm Shields
10 bolter arms and bolters
2 power swords
2 power maces
2 power fists
lots of shoulder pads
12 backpacks
and lots of other small bits.
for £12!!!

I've ordered two of these, so I will be confirming this within the week.

They changed the deal a few days ago. All you get now is one sprue, which is half the contents listed before.

yeah, the £8 one.
there is:
£15 kit, including bits for 5 bases, special weapons and 5 marines
£12 kit, including bits for 10 marines
£8 kit, including bits for 3 marines.
they yanked the £12 one, but I got it through my PC's history.

The one sprue is explicitly said to give 5 marines.

£8 sprue- 5 marines, no bases, no special weapons, lotsa bitz.
£12 sprue- twice as much as the £8 sprue. 10 marines, no bases or special weapons, lotsa bits (twice as much).
£15 boxed set- 5 marines, bases, special weapons, no bitz.
