Hi There,
Merry Christmas from all at Forge World! In today’s newsletter we can announce that the next Imperial Armour book is available to pre-order! We also have the third and final part of our Designer Interview for your viewing pleasure, and details of our opening hours over the Festive period.
Thanks,
Ead Brown
Imperial Armour Volume 10: The Badab War Part II Available to Pre-Order
After mercilessly teasing you with our preview gallery http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Badab2preview.html and designer interview videos over the past few days, we are proud to announce that Imperial Armour Volume 10: The Badab War Part II is available to pre-order now: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/IMPERIAL_ARMOUR_VOLUME_TEN_THE_BADAB_WAR_PART_TWO.html . It will be despatched immediately after the Christmas period in the week commencing the 4th of January 2011.
This lavish 208-page tome is the second volume in Forge World’s exploration of the infamous Badab War, and for the first time the apocalyptic conclusion to this most bloody conflict is laid bare and the true price the Imperium pays to dethrone the Tyrant it has created is revealed.
In addition to full background histories of nine of the Chapters that played a significant part in the later stages of the war, this book also contains a full Space Marine Siege Assault Vanguard army list, a new siege special mission for use with the Badab War campaign system presented in Imperial Armour Volume 9, three new Apocalypse formations and new ships and fleet lists for Battlefleet Gothic games. Forge World’s book production team have also done sterling work adding yet more depth to the Warhammer 40,000 universe in the form of a phenomenal range of colour profiles, star maps and colour photographs.
As usual, the first 500 copies will be signed by the writer, Alan Bligh, and Imperial Armour Volume 10 is supplied in a unique slipcase with space for your copy of Imperial Armour Volume 9. It also comes complete with the biggest poster we’ve ever released! Measuring a massive 841mm by 1189mm, this double-sided poster details every single Chapter involved in the Badab War, while the reverse side features a magnificent Navigator’s artefact map created by Sam Lamont. Click here http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/badabposter.html to see how big this poster is. You can also pre-order the Badab War Part II Poster separately http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/BADAB-WAR-PART-TWO-POSTER.html , rolled in a sturdy tube.
If this wasn’t enough we have put together an exclusive online-only offer, The Complete Badab War http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/IMPERIAL-ARMOUR-VOLUMES-NINE-AND-TEN-THE-BADAB-WAR.html , containing both Part I and Part II of these Imperial Armour books as well as both the Badab War posters packed within the slip case. The poster and book bundle will both be despatched in the week commencing the 4th of January 2011.
Badab Interview Video Part 3
We won’t keep you waiting any longer so without further ado we can proudly present part 3 of our interview with Simon Egan and Alan Bligh: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/News/badabQ&A3.html .
Spoiler Warning! If you don't already know the outcome of the Badab War, we'd recommend pausing before the final question. If you’ve got any questions, comments or suggestions for future interviews, please get in touch at Forgeworld@games-workshop.co. uk.

TBF, Tom and Kan had already announced the content of 261 in the 260 thread . . . Other than the cool box art, there's little enough in 261. Although, I admit the announcemnt in the last thread did make me reach for my wallet.

Taros, personally, is a favorite despite the...issues it has. It had a fantastic organizational structure and peek at the Elysians(the first one we'd had to date!), and a neat look at how the Tau operated in terms of annexation and their evolutionary approach to warfare that was hinted at in their Codex.

Looks good to me.
Cheeky blighters have upped the cover price and the P&P if I am not mistaken (fron 10% to 12%?).
For better or worse I have stilled ordered my copy though.

Yet for the quality of books (paper grammage, binding, amount of colour, the varnishing of the pages etc) it's not too bad at all.
Going to have to get both of these, and IA 1 and 2. Got all the others. Apart from the 2nd Apocalypse book of course.
But yeah, with regard to Taros, the quality in terms of content is constantly going up.
