okay, so I am making a heresy-era raven guard army, using the BA codex. So please, when you criticise/change this list, please swap the units for fluffy options (so no SC's, death company, ect.)

I am not a huge fan of the Librarian Furioso Dread, as that doesn't feel fluffy. and the Redeemer Variant of the Land Raider was Post Heresy. Other than that, if your opponent doesn't mind homebrewed rules, looks good.

The Storm Raven also wasn't around during the heresy.

my regular opponent doesn't, the reason I have my libby there is he was already in my fluff, but I can't fit 3 HQ's in, so I made him a dread to make him an elite slot.
I mentioned this in my army fluff thread- the redeemer's the only 40k legal LR I have, and i'm not paying £35 just so all my fluff makes sense.

yes, but they're cool and suit raven guard completely. they even have "raven" in the name!

only annoying thing is- I want to have 5 TH/SS termies, 5 sternguard, a dread libby, a sanguiary priest and 5 sanguinary guard...
5 TH/SS termies because they are a deathstar unit, (but then the termies died at istvaan, so it's a there.)
5 sternguard because in the RG upgrade kit, the bolters are sternguard pattern, and they're in the fluff.
dread libby because if I have a stormraven he can hang on the back, and i can't fit 3 HQ's in.
sanguinary guard because they are going to be my best-looking unit, and i'm pouring over £50 into them.
sanguinary priest because I like FNP and furious charge bubbles.

this new list is made up of what SM units I can cobble together ATM.

have i over read what models you will use as counts as monsters in your mosterthread? i think this will be very interessting as this is for me a very fluffy thing in your list...

by the way, wahts the main difference between the pre heresy LR and the 40k LR ? would it be still possibe to scratchbuilt a weapon set to make it more fitting? as of now i am at a loss for backround here^^

the LR redeemer wasn't created during the heresy. And I have no intention of using lascannons/bolters for the conversion. I use the redeemer too much.

TDA sanguinary priest + 5 TH/SS termies = 5x S9, I2, 2+/3++/4+++* space marines.
*the "+++" means ignore saves, like we'll be back and FNP.
