Hello fellow Dakka-ites!

The St. Thomas Games Workshop store in Owings Mills, MD will be holding a Bizarre Bazaar on Saturday, January 1st. I know, I can hear you saying, "But, Gymnogyps, I'm going to be so hung over I won't be functional." Fear not! There is a Starbucks right next door for caffeine needs, a Baskin Robbins on the other side for sugar needs, a Giant grocery store a little way down for headache meds and solid food... and if you need a bit of the hair of the dog, there is a liquor store in the shopping center, too! Just no open containers allowed in the GW store...

This will operate in the same manner as any other Bizarre Bazaar: trades are completely fine as long as money is not involved. Instead of cash, buyers will buy GW gift cards to exchange for their goods. I have heard there will be folks with Tau, Beastmen, Orcs and Goblins, and many many more.

Store location and contact information:

Games Workshop - St. Thomas

Phone: 410-998-9223

Note this is my local store and Dave, the manager, is really great. If you have any questions please feel free to drop by or give the store a call!

Ah, exciting! I'm cash-poor, but I have a few things to trade that I will bring. I'd like to go just to see what it's like, as I haven't been to any of these before.

What time is best to arrive?

Dave said the store will available for Bazaar activities when he opens at 1PM, but he takes lunch from 3-4PM. Often, if folks are in the store, we all go to lunch at one of the local spots, so its not like you'd be abandoned in the wilds of Owings Mills.

I've never been to a bazaar, either, but I'm guessing it is like a swap meet- if you're early you get the best selection, but not everyone may be there yet. I'm really excited to see how it all works out. There has been some interest from a couple of the locals in the Tau so they may go fast...

Don't think I'll make this one, kind of a long ride for me, but tell David (store operator) I said "hello".

Would that be "BrassScorpion" or another more usual name he's familiar with (although, the last GW store I went into in Olney with grey_death, the manager knew his screen name)

I have 225 skeletons with spears, still on the sprue. Anyone who needs a massive undead horde can probably find me there.

@Thirdstorm: if you have cash, you can drop it on a gift card or buy a box from the store to trade... depends on what the person wants.

Hope you can make it!

He may or may not know my screen name, so you can tell him Bob. I know him from when he got his start with GW at what was our local Battle Bunker. He used to see me and my family there all the time.

Good luck, I hope the bazaar is a success and thanks.

225 skeletons with spears,
I'm guessing these are the great push-fit models from the grab-bag deal the last day at our Bunker/HQ in Maryland? I'm working on the green-tide I got cheap that final day now, it's the core of my new Ork army. I also got more than 200 Termagants that day and a bunch of other cool stuff for cheap.
