I heard from my local game retailer that the whole warmachine miniatures range will be updated. Has anyone heard anything about that.

Can you please put a question mark in the subject title? It's confusing as the title suggests you know all about it and there's lots of information in here

Wha?

I highly doubt that the whole Warmachine range will be updated. I know that they're updating some of the core troop units, since those models are 8 years old, and showing their age (Trenchers, Winterguard, thost types).

I also know that they're redoing some of the casters, specifically the box set casters. Warmachine has already had those done, and they're doing some of the Hordes ones.

But as for redoing the whole range? Highly unlikely.

Agreed, I've heard the same about the core troop units but haven't heard anything about the whole range

Well,Actualy, they are doing "redo" some models.

They are doing some Warlock resculpt because those can't be puchersed other than starte box.

They do some "redo" but not entire range.
They are now focusing new models too.
Next expansion is coming. I can't wait!!

I'm excited to see what they might do for the Khador models and stuff.

Likely just the Winterguard. The rest of their Prime models are pretty good for their age (or already have alt sculpts), but the WGI definitely need some love. I'm really more interested to see what happens with Wrath, personally.

Well, that and I'd like my Bombardiers.

Well, that and I'd like my Bombardiers.
Don't worry, the Destors came out right...

I would like some Bane Cav lovin'

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I expect to see Bombardiers in METAL in a few months. If I played Khador I would be saddened.

I suspect it's just part of their ongoing shift into MK2. It's taken some time for stores to empty of MK1 stock. We all know that they eventually want to shift to the MK2 style packaging and 10 man unit boxes on as much stuff as possible.

I suspect that not everything will get new models, probably only those models that need new sculpts due to problems with molds, player preferences, and budget. The rest will see repackaging with MK2 boxes.

I do remember reading a post from a PPS staff that they were in the process of doing restock batches of older stuff, this was mainly in regards to questions about older bits on their store. But I assume if they'll go to the trouble of casting bits, they'll probably be doing full runs of older units, just repackaged.

I think that the new Trenchers and plastic warjack rescuplts have shown us how PP will handle these things. I don't think we'll see repackaging of existing sculpts.

My guess is mold age/use is the primary factor in deciding if models are to be resculpted.

I'm really hoping that a multi-jack Leviathan/Harrower kit is the next project. I hope they haven't given up on multi jack plastic kits.

The Jacks are remade in plastic. Can't point you to a Privateer Press news thread as every single model gets its own news thread here.

If they redo the Wintergaurd I'm totally going to use them to do a Guard army.

More than likely it'll be resin, like their Extreme Titan.
