Hello dakka,

So I just went to a second-hand book store today and to my shock they had a small box that was filled with all kinds of OOP warhammer 40k goodies. For 50 cents a pop! I got all of them quicker than a grot grabbed the big gun, and counted 22 models. I will describe in detail later what they are. Anyways, I plan on adding them to my beastmen chaos army, but I stopped an thought, '' Would these be doing better in the hands of someone who really wants them, or should I add these to my army with greed?''

How much would you say it's worth?

I have:

11 Space wolf terminators, 3 being psykers, two look like generals, and one doesn't look SW it looks daemon hunter-y? He has a hood and a horned skull on his shoulder..
9 normal SW with two missle launchers, a leader with a wolf skull for a head

And these extra bits:
1 OOP Eldar with a skull for a mask and a big gun, probably dark avenger or something
1 Genestealer cult Magus (the one whispering next to the Patriarch)
1 really old looking SM that has two skull shoulderpads, a skull looking helmet, and a mace-thing with wings that kinda looks indian. My guess- a Chaplain.

Thank you!

Most of those ring a bell, and Wow... that's quite a find. Genestealer cult Magus? Lots of characters, rather than just plain troopers? Quite a steal for what sounds like $11!!

Perhaps an old Harlequin Death Jester? The old DJs had the option of a Lascannon back then...I have a few.

Congrats on a great find!

Edit: Like this fellah?

The Eldar and the Magus are the only models really worth much if you ask me. Those Terminators usually go on eBay for 5-10 bucks each.

Pictures are up in my gallery. I am aware they are not good quality pictures, and I did not paint them.

Thank you

Model with the wolf skull mask, plas pistol and crozius is a wolf priest.

Model with the big pelt over his shoulder, chainsword and topknot is Ragnar Blackmane.

Model with two-handed halberd looks like an old-school Grey Knight Terminator. Obviously not as nice as the current ones, but a pretty cool fig.

Eldar model is an old Harlequin Death Jester. The current model is better, but some folks (like me) have a soft spot for the old ones. I have a couple dozen of them, I think.

Meaning just a few of them are worth what he paid for the whole lot

WOW... I only wish Book Stores around here had this sort of stuff...

I have the OLD catalogues if you can PM me pics I can ID them and give you a collector's value... dependent upon condition.

Im not interested in buying these, but you may find some good deals on Dakka here or BarterTown.
