It's a new year, a new month. I saw a thread like this a few months back, I want to restart it. What are you going to accomplish (or try to) painting/modeling wise?

I'll start off:
Paint 30 Guardsmen to tabletop standard
Base my 2 Hellhounds
Base my Manticore

What about you guys?

5) Finally get started (Maybe) On my steam punk themed IG army

Finish painting what I have, including repainting more of the troops I have so they look the same. Also need to detail the tanks I have.

Part of this will also be learning more advanced techniques in painting. Wish I could set up a painting area, but I live in a dorm for most of the year.

I hope to strip and repaint at least 2 squads of guardsmen, a command squad 2 Russ, a chimera and a basalisk and hellhound, which will then be broken apart and rebuilt as chimeras. Plus hopefully by a russ or 2.

Honestly, my goal is just to pick a fething paint scheme to stick with already and paint a few of my Tactical SM, and get the rest of my models put together and primed.

Finish the Assembly of the Imperial Fists First Co. Army which I'm working on;

- 15 Terminators
- 3 Dreadnoughts

(Also, not included, are the following, which I'll buy at a later date:

- 3 Drop Pods
- 2 Deathstorm Drop Pods)

For jan:

Build all my orks (60more boyz, 10 more gotz, 12 nob bikers/warboss, 3 battlewagons)
Buy more Orks (lootas, meganobs, killa kans? Big mek or 2.....maybe a stompa)

Start my first diorama....

For the whole year, i want 2000-3000(depends on stompa) of Orks painted.... Also start a new 40k army, and make 3+ dioramas

Plans for the year:
1: Re-work my orks (first army ever so some old models are a bit wonky)
2: finish Stompa
3: Paint stompa
4: start practicing with resin casting so i can get my friend to collect armies faster.
5: paint some orks

been out of the hobby for a year or two so not to lofty goals.

Try and finish all of my tactical squads and get the dread finished. Also, someone recommended steel wool for taking off paint on plastic models, haven't tried it yet but he said it works...then again all the really old models are metal and i don't know bout that.

Been pretty lazy about modeling since Thanksgiving, but recently got in the mood again! I was looking over my old World Eaters Army(collected from 1995 to 2000), and I am seriously dissapointed with my painting skills back then and my lack of removing mould lines and flash. I have started to strip and convert/customize every model! Some that are not too bad, I will leave for now, but will get the same treatment at some point.

So, my goals for 2011:
Finish converting my old Abaddon model to my "counts as Abaddon" World Eater Commander. (Almost done, and will paint soon, I'll get some pics up when I remember to take some)
Finish painting my OOP Terminator Lord.
Finish the scratch-build on my Bloodthirster
Finish converting my Hive Tyrant to Daemon Prince.
Finish painting my OOP metal Berzerkers. (maybe use as Chosen)
Finish painting my plastic Berzerkers.
Finish converting/paint my CSM to Raptors. (1 squad of 8)
Finish converting/paint my CSM to Havocs. (2 squads of 5 to 8, I haven't decided)
Finish converting/paint my genestealers to Bloodletters. (only 57 and a half left to go!)
Start converting my CSM to Possessed.
Assemble/paint my Terminators.
Start converting 3 Terminators to Obliterators.

Looking at this list, I'm thinking some of these will still be on my list for next year!

In this order:

Finish building Squad #1 of converted Plague Marines. Prime them.
Finish building Squad #2 of converted Plague Marines.
Buy bit for pin vice, build one Obliterator
Prime Squad #2 and 2 Obliterators

I am insanely slow so these are lofty goals for me, but I have some extra motivation.

Get the orks to tts+, I'll be happy with around 1500pts as a start? I think it is getting pretty close to that now.. Add in a looted trukk.
Finish up a few nice pieces of orky terrain.. mek shed, etc.
Make a solid start on the Dark Eldar, I already have my colour scheme.
End of feb is the goal so far...

New year and a new start for me. At some point last year I lost my way with my Orks and now it's time to get back to it.

This month I want to:

Finish painting stompa no 1
Finish off 5 evil sunz boyz and 6 grot techies who have been lurking on my desk for over 6 months!
Assemble 1 deff dread and 3 killa kans
undercoat 40 grots, 4 runtherds and Ghazghul

best get on with it!

-3 land speeders
-two SM attack bikes
-Goblin Doom Diver

Paint:
-6 DA Veterans (used as Assault Marines without jump packs)
-Goblin Spear Chucka (and the crew)
-0-75 Goblins depending on inspiration

Purchase:
-Terminators for new Deathwing project

Goals for 2011:

Finish painting a unit. Any unit.

But seriously- in order:

1. Complete 20 spearmen.
2. Complete 20 archers.
3. Paint up my Chariot
4. Same for the bolt thrower.
5. Paint and convert Dragon.
6. Purchase second bolt thrower and chariot.
7. Purchase and complete another 20 White Lions (giving me 30 in total.)
8. Finish painting my Princess.
10. Convert a spare Dragon into Valcor from the Never Ending Story, just so it matched my White Lions.
11. Decide what colours to paint my Battle Sisters.

This month I want to:

1. Magnetize everything I can think of DONE
2. Finally settle all the exact colours, so that I can start painting my guardsmen.
3. Paint my battleforce
4. Not look down at the painted models and not think "

I SHOULD HAVE DONE IT THE OTHER WAY"
5. Get onto the leman russ
