I've noticed that in Australia if you don't live in a capital city then it can be farely difficult to get your hands on, so I figured let's get a list.
Recommend your favorite or only places to get wargaming goods.
Toyworld sometimes has an alright range of games workshop products but not that good, but if you look around and find the model train and war vehicles section you'll find a tonne of good stuff for making gaming boards and terrain, even stuff for converting orks and stuff.

Are you looking for Oz only retailers and online store?
an ozzie owned discount online store is:
http://thecombatcompany.com.au/
I recommend if you want to buy from an ozzie, he is based near sydney I think and have done a number of successful transactions.

He's based IN Sydney. Hurstville area (associated with a club in that area).
North coast I'd go with Gamingdragon (up in Condong - Murwillumbah area).
Dealt with both of them and they are good for a discount (while realising they can't totally compete with OS, they do a good job and their shipping time is good).

Overseas. Always overseas.
Games Workshop + Current International Exchange Rates + Australian Federal Taxes = We pay 40%-50% more than the rest of the world for the same products.
Go here, use this code (2011-JANUARY), and get 17.5% off prices that are already 40% cheaper than here and pay $0 for shipping.

I agree with H.B.M.C, with the prices as they are here its really only worth going to a store to play with a group. However it is also good to support the store from time to time to stop it from vanishing.
Also the shipping is free if you spend over 10 pounds, as hard as it is when it comes to GW.

Well, they also do drop ins to the Murwillumbah gaming club and one on the Gold coast. Mick & Karen are nice people. We've had them drop into our club on occasion. Mick even dragged a bunch of Murwillumbah-ites down for a weekend of gaming.

My club is in Cessnock (Hunter Valley Wine country) a bit of a drive down from Kingscliff (Far North coast) - around 9 hours at freeway speeds, lol. It's a 30-45 minute drive from home (but is also where the in-laws live, so I have something to do on the weekends when we visit for dinner) for me though. The Murwillumbah club details are: Condong Public School McLeod St Condong NSW 2484 When will we meet? 2nd and 4th Sunday of the Month. Condong is approx 3 mins north of Murwillumbah Condong Public School is located on the same street as the Condong Sugar Mill Time we will be open? Starting from 9am, finishing by 4pm. You could also probably contact Mick care of the gaming dragon site/contact us thingy.

If you want to do that, why not just donate money to the store directly instead of splitting it with GWAU? Instead of paying $41 for a $23 kit, just buy the kit from Maelstrom for $19 and give the store ten bucks?

Bearing in mind the approx 9 HOUR drive from Kingscliff - The Slayers in Cessnock plays mainly 40k and fantasy (and run their own 40k/fantasy tournaments every year).
There is some Blood Bowl stuff in the cupboard along with a (minus miniatures) Space Hulk 3.0 set.
I've started some interest in non GW games (infinity) - it's not like we are a GW supported or sponsored club, so restricting ourselves to only their games is a trifle shortsighted. Still, most of the members ARE under 21 and the idea that there are OTHER games and manufacturers out there has not occurred to them, so blinded are they to the GW way-of-thought.
The Murwillumbah club is mostly the same for games (core GW mainly) - except they tend to have a few more older members and is probably a better bet for you.

They do have members around your age. They're also closer than Cessnock. By at least 8 hours.
The ones that came down to meet us were only the 'legal' ones (we play in a licenced sports club so they only brought their >18s). So even if you did come down for a visit, you'd still need a legal chaperone to get into our club rooms (you have to pass through the bar and around the pokie area).

See my previous post where I gave you the details of where, when and what times. To whit: The Murwillumbah club details are: Condong Public School McLeod St Condong NSW 2484 When will we meet? 2nd and 4th Sunday of the Month. EDIT: This month they will be meeting on the THIRD Sunday as the holidays threw everything out of whack, they should be back to 2nd/4th in February though. Condong is approx 3 mins north of Murwillumbah Condong Public School is located on the same street as the Condong Sugar Mill Time we will be open? Starting from 9am, finishing by 4pm.

In response to the original post; if you're aware of a good stockist please take the time to update the dakka 'store finder' with this info. It's so convenient.
And just to add my 2 cents:
++ on the toyworld front. They can be found practically anywhere, and if they don't have GW on the shelf they will often be capable of ordering. Having said that, if you're going to the trouble of ordering product, you might as well just go to Maelstrom (as others have recommended).
